So coming off of the Raw thread being so low, what would get everyone here to tune in again? What realistically could they do better the show? I think some of Raw has been better as far as most of the backstage stuff with their two interviewers and the segments being good/funny. I think the biggest problem they have is there are too many feuds that have been going on between three to five weeks. I don't know what they could do to make me tune in again. I have been a fan since the 80s and I used to stay up late to watch Prime Time Wrestling on Monday nights but ever since before Backlash I haven't been watching either show regularly. I follow any major happenings via this board. Raw still records on the DVR but I haven't gone back to watch it in weeks. I don't know if this is just going to be me taking a break from wrestling for a while or me growing out of it. After the first week of Raw that I missed I realized that they had not been doing anything on the show that previous week that made me feel like I needed to tune and and see what happens next, I was no longer engaged with the product. For the moment I am kind of enjoying finding other things to do on my Monday and Tuesday nights.

They've done a good job with building their angles and adding to them every week. Raw is starting to catch up a little with them, but they suffer from all their feuds being run too long. On the blue brand everything feels fresher.

Same problem Raw's always had:
Raw's too micromanaged.
It's ALWAYS been the problem. It's the problem in this brand extension, and it's the problem in the last brand extension, the dual-brand stuff, and honestly ever since WCW closed down:
Raw's ALWAYS had the better roster in-ring wise on paper, the more star-power heavy rosters...and now, you can argue even the better workers than Smackdown...but it doesn't make a bit of difference: Raw is the show Vince McMahon writes and rewrites, and as a result Raw doesn't trust anyone to get anything to work organically- not just the other writers to write something, but the wrestlers to wrestle or cut promos.
Smackdown's always been the better show because Vince put so much into Raw he gives up and gets out of Smackdown's way, and that led to it being notably better than Smackdown (and both NXT Takeover and current NXT became better still because no one who mattered cared about them one bit, REALLY allowing them to thrive.)
As long as this the problem- everything else: Reigns, Mick Foley, Stephanie McMahon, three hours...they're all noise and won't FIX things until it's clear "Vince McMahon just lost his fastball".

This week's Raw summed it up for me. I listed off a few things in the Raw thread but I'd gladly go into detail here.
For one, a clipboard is more over than anyone and everyone on the entire show.
On top of that, this Chris Jericho run is a mess. Now, I'm not saying he's been bad, and I'm not saying he's been bad in the ring. Hell, I think he's done alright. But it's this idea that he is doing well AS A HEEL and being a great HEEL. Entertaining? Absolutely. But there is nothing "heel" about him. He delivers his quotes as if they were punchlines, like a face would. He says "stupid idiot" with extra emphasis and says "You just made the list!" with a giddy enthusiasm that the crowd pops for. When he tells the crowd to be quiet, the crowd pops NOT out of spite and hatred for someone telling them not to react (or else they'd boo and make other noises), but because he's "saying the thing". If they're trying to get him over as a tweener, fine. And if he was doing all of this as a face, I'd be fine with it all. But he is being potrayed and booked as a heel and is aligned with him. And if you try to critique their ability to make Chris Jericho A HEEL, they have failed tremendously.
Plus, they have some work to do before Seth Rollins makes any level of a good babyface. He lost 4-5 times against Ambrose, clean as a sheet, and has been ice cold in-ring since the draft. And yet I'm supposed to believe he is any threat to Kevin Owens?!? Owens should DESTROY Rollins with little trouble, if we're going off how people are booked.
And by God, has the New Day fallen off or what? Anyone cheering for them at this point is having member berries over when they were delivering funny promos. At this point what they say comes off so manufactured and filtered and fake...I know they had an interview where they said they have a lot of creative freedom in the group. Did something happen to get that revoked? Did Vince just change his mind? Did they run out of ideas and had to resort to the writers? God forbid, is this still THEIR material?!? And I want them to stay over enough to pass Demolition's title reign record, because that'd be a hell of a mark, and on the merits of how over they got and how much the tag division has buffed up while they've been champs, they deserve it. But holy shit, are they limping to the finish line. I used to think the company'd be insane to break them up and even once thought they'd make good "freebird rule" minor champions or, hell, even World/Universal champs. But now I almost can't wait to see who turns heel and how.
And my GOD have they dropped the ball on Bayley. This was someone who was INSANELY over and even more "can't miss" than ANY of the four horsewomen due to her charisma, and she's gone ice cold. If she never gets that back, this will be an all-time bad gaffe on the part of WWE. And yes, she has plenty of time and the WWE has plenty of time, but it flat out shouldn't have gotten to the point where people are chanting "BORING!" at her segments.
This cruiserweight division has some work to do already too. TJ Perkins doesn't have me sold at all. Rich Swann and Kendrick are so much better in the ring, and on promos it's night and day. Ignoring the CWC (I still think Gargano should have won it if the CW Title was always on the table for the winner), Kendrick should have beaten Perkins and should be feuding with Swann. Swann has been booked into damn near oblivion but is more charismatic and better in-ring than Perkins.
What the hell was that Foley promo?!? A few weeks ago you were all for the women making history with the first ever Women's Hell in a Cell match. I even remember posting what a missed opportunity it was for a storyline, where Foley could have not decided on it because he didn't want to put them two through it, and they together have to convince him it'd come to that kind of match. So when he was all "make history" about it, I just thought they were dropping it. But NOW he plays that card?!?!? Now it makes even LESS sense than having him completely no-sell his HiaC history. That's totally ridiculous.
And of course I could regurgitate what everyone's said about how stupid it was to try to get Goldberg chants going in Brock's hometown. Hell, even Heyman seemed off about it, unless he was supposed to come off scared. And if that was the intention, then that's awful too. Brock, on paper, should WASTE a 50 year old man who, while remaining fit, has done no wrestling/combat sport in a month of Sundays. In kayfabe, Brock shouldn't be sweating Goldberg. Hell, half of the damn roster shouldn't be sweating Goldberg. I sit here thinking AJ Styles, John Cena, Rollins, Owens, Ambrose, all could beat Goldberg.
That's on top of the three hours, on top of being SICK of Stephanie, on top of Foley being a whipping boy, and all the common complaints.
Raw is just a f***ing chore to watch right now, and I cannot see how anyone can unironically enjoy it.
