I'm a fan of both, and appreciate the thought, but does it really matter that much if a match main events or not? If it's good it's good...
Surely we all remember HHH vs Jericho from WMXVIII? Much more meaningful/memorable than Hogan vs Rock right?

Because they have a list of "historical events" or "first times" and they are rushing through it.Just something to brag about. That's the impression I have.

It's in Boston, so it'd make sense. I hate how Raw's booked the Women's Division, but good job for these two. I like both and I hope they have one of their best matches at the PPV. That's where I stand on it. I sat through so much lame junk during the Attitude/Divas era. IMO the women's division needed something like this badly.

Yeah it is weird, these two have a feud worthy of this match in storyline but instead of letting that be the story, they've dropped that to focus on screaming "first". While I'm sure it will be a great match, I do think focusing more on "first" than their battles through NXT to WWE and everything since then has hurt the match some.

I'm curious to see how they use the cell. I hope it isn't just a singles match with a big ass cage around it.
I do agree that it seems somewhat forced, but I guess who really cares? It's nice that they're showing actual commitment to booking a serious Women's division. Hopefully this leads to other Women's Gimmick matches like a Women's Royal Rumble

But on the card, it's the longest term feud, least one sided feud, and has the most amount of hatred between the two. Plus it's in Sashas hometown as a bonus so the crowd is probably going to care about this more than Reigns vs. Rusev or Owens vs. Rollins unless HHH makes a surprise cameo. Now the entirety of Rusev vs. Reigns including putting it in the HIAC is the definition of forced

I'm cool with it. Owens vs. Rollins has been cold as hell and Roman vs. Rusev is like the worst angle going right now.

I really don't understand the negativity - I think a Women's Championship match between two great wrestlers headlining a PPV in a Hell in a Cell is cool as f***. You know they're both gonna want to deliver big. I'm excited

Bless Charlotte for actually trying to sell the fact that there's a personal element to this feud, that there's dislike and competitiveness. Sasha was all 'I'm making history. Neat.' I get it though. The writers are too busy jerking themselves off to tell a story with the women's division.

This stuff really drives me crazy. You only have one chance to do this stuff for the first time and instead of engaging us with a compelling story it's just "look how progressive we're being." Sasha and Charlotte are great and deserve the spot, and it's not like this is a woman exclusive problem, all three of the HIAC matches are awfully put together, but man I wish they'd be more humble in their approach and just tell stories.

I'm not liking the build-up to the Sasha/Charlotte match because they don't fear the Cell. In a match built to shorten careers, break men and scar them physically as well as mentally, I don't like the idea of them requesting to be inside the structure for the sake of saying that women are as tough as men and girl power shenanigans. Sure, the match itself has been done too often that it has lost its luster but that doesn't make any less dangerous and it bothers me that both Sasha and Charlotte see this as a chance to "make history" instead of seeing it as going into a match where they'll get hurt, their careers will be shortened and their livelihood can change forever for better or for worse. If they don't think that the Cell is a dangerous match and they're just giddy about getting to fight in a big cage, why should I buy the match as anything with serious implications to their careers and well being?

And on the real, they should have done a women's ladder match before a cell match especially with Sasha's Eddie fixation. On the real, this is like fighting Goro before Kano.

The match is probably gonna be great, but here is how I percepted the feud before I stopped watching.
Sasha : I want your belt!
Got your belt!
Charlotte:Well i want your belt! Got your belt.
Repeat title matches

I like that they're getting a HIAC, and I like that it's the main event too. But I don't like how the promos and stuff are all about making history instead of the feud itself. It's corny and heavy handed.
WWE is patting itself on the back for finally breaking the glass ceiling for women when they're the ones who put it up in the first place.
