I'm pretty sure being a clueless oaf is his gimmick and he's also just a clueless oaf in real life. So it's like a double dose of oafiness.
It's kinda like if Dixie Carter was playing a clueless idiot over on Impact.

Really the only negative thing I've taken out of this is how much Mick is patting himself and Stephanie on the back (and by extension WWE). I just saw on Facebook where he posted a tweet from WWE quoting Bryan calling Mick and Stephanie "cowards" (you'd think Daniel would know better after the last man he called a coward ripped him to shreds). His response was to say "we're cowards? We're the ones who booked a women's main event on Raw! We're leading the women's revolution! First ever women's HIAC!" And I'm just like... stop. It's cool, but stop. You're not brave, courageous, or anything of the sort for having the women in these big spots. Frankly while that's great, the Smackdown crew is doing a much better job using their female talent and getting so many people on screen in actual meaningful ways. I've been watching Sasha and Charlotte feud for literally years, and Bayley/Dana is a side story to that. Nia Jax isn't even getting regular TV time anymore. Raw's women's revolution is two women. Smackdown has 6 women right now who all feel like they're doing something. Kind of a tangent, and I love Mick, but good lord he's frustrating right now. It's great that Charlotte and Sasha are getting opportunities, but I don't need anyone telling me that it's great that they're giving the opportunities. Let me praise you... don't tell me why I'm not praising you enough. Yeah, and then one of his comments was like, "Well all of these matches will be one person or another's main event." And then I unfollowed him on Facebook. Because, and I can't believe I'm saying this, I'm tired of Mick Foley.
