Now that I've had time to absorb it. I can break down what I think happened.
1. When Goldberg agreed to do one more match, he only would do it if he won. 2. Preparing for the match they realized Goldberg couldn't go more than a few minutes. 3. Knowing Toronto is "Bizzaro Land", the crowd could make this a disaster. 4. Having Goldberg squash Lesnar was the least crappy, safest option available.

Here is what I couldn't get passed. Cole kept saying Goldberg and Cena were the only 2 to beat Lesnar in more than one PPV match. When did Cena beat Lesnar other than Extreme Rules?

Seriously guys. You know full well how WWE operates you know no one on the current roster was going to beat Lesnar in this current 2014-2016 run other than Undertaker and some other part-timer. It was most likely going to be the Rock but he has Hollywood obligations and him bumping for Brock is not a good idea. This match was made on the fly just a month ago. Goldberg looked motivated as f*** and did the best mic work in his career and was very sympathetic. You can see from the demeanour of Brock and Heyman they stopped caring after Summerslam 2014. Brock since the Summer of 2015 has been on a terrible boring run. He is not the big uber beast he was after Mania 29 Undertaker beat him last year.
Then he attempted to get his heat back by beating everyone except Barret from the League of Nations in House Shows and then had the most disappointing match at Mania 32 against Dean Ambrose WHICH HAD A GIMMICK ATTACHED TO IT. All because he knew he wanted that UFC money. Dude was then popped for using a substance which didn't phase him at all because let's be honest all most everyone in sports is on something whether legal or illegal.
I just want Lesnar to retire from wrestling he has no place in WWE anymore. Roman could have gotten the rub but WWE f***ed up his booking which turned 65% of the audience against Reigns.

I loved it. Although I was shocked, I really don't mind that Brock Lesnar has that ONE adversary who can just f***ing maul him at any given opportunity.

What rubbish. Lesnar had four excellent ppv matches in 2015, and taker beat him once not twice.

Triple Threat with Cena and Rollins had Lesnar put through the announce table like 10 minutes in which had Lesnar laid out for about another 10 minutes where Rollins and Cena did all the heavy wrestling stuff. Brock got his forearm jabs and suplexs in. Match was good once Brock was out of the equation for that time frame. Match against Roman Reigns was the first match in a long time at the point in history where Brock showed vulnerability and he ended up having the same match they have been replicating since the Cena match at Summerslam 2014, oh and the birth of Suplex City and then WWE jumping the shark on it. Battleground match with Rollins didn't even get anywhere with Taker interference. Summerslam match was the only good match because Undertaker actually got to do stuff. Hell in The Cell match with Taker was boring.

But it took WWE over a year to get their shit together on how to properly book Lesnar and when they did Lesnar got complacent and lazy in the ring.

Goldberg has always been S+ tier in Wrestling. The match was perfect, Brock just forgot about how awesome Kayfabe Goldberg is because no one is on his level, and the hype by Heyman every day too.

As someone who has absolutely no emotional attachment to Goldberg - his last match with Brock is the only other full match of his that I've seen - the whole thing left me totally cold. Maybe I was expecting too much from a guy has been out of the ring from as long as Goldberg has, but I at least expected something I could get my teeth into that would ultimately come down to whether that one last spear and one last jackhammer would be enough to overcome a dominant "final boss" Brock Lesnar.
Instead I got a squash match that made the build and hype feel a waste of time and left one of the most protected guys in the company (for good or ill) looking an absolute joke.

Not only did WCW star Bill Goldberg win the match in 90 seconds but his WCW theme played in his entrance and after he won, rather than the shitty WWE remix of it.
Is Vince feeling alright? A little worried now.

Amazing, hilarious and ridiculous all at once.
It was awesome because I love Goldberg and it surely means he's staying a bit (which as I'm going to Wrestlemania this year is what I wanted) but then you can't blame people for seeing all that Lesnar build-up gone like that to a part-timer. It's the sort of thing people would've shit all over WCW for. On the flip side, Lesnar has been growing a bit tiresome and the guy they originally wanted to beat him in Reigns will probably never be ready in the eyes of the crowd now so what do you do?

A friend who hasn't followed the product from at least 8 years just texted me that "Goldberg destroyed Lesnar"
It definitely generated some noise on people

He's expected to be at Rumble and Mania for sure, not sure if any other dates are planned.

This didn't surprise me. It's the only thing they could have done. Goldberg is 49 and never really bumped for anyone. No way he's going to suplex city. Lesnar's punishment for the steroid thing was coming so this must have been it. I would've prefered they put him as a surprise member of a Survivor team as a better way to protect him, instead of burying Lesnar.

I think lesnar has been great every year *until 2016* which I admit has been a let down
