dennis skinner LIVES!!! again like bloody methuselah that guy 47 years he's been in Parliament. And his filter left him long before he even ran for his seat. He's....kind of like Bernie Sanders here in the states. Maybe a bit more confrontational in his rhetoric.

Conservatives FINALLY take the inevitable lead.
But it looks like chances of a Non-Coalition Majority are all but gone.

Jacob Rees-Moog just suggested an October election if the Tories fall short of majority.

One of the shocks of tonight, the Canterbury seat was won for the first time ever by Labour. The Conservatives have held that seat since 1918

About 100 seats left to go.
Most Projections show The Conservatives falling short of 326, but being able to hold the majority rule with the assistance of Northern Ireland Unionists.

Very much shades of the 2015 Canadian election.
The Tory PM with a majority government calls an early election and it badly backfires.

Very much shades of the 2015 Canadian election. The Tory PM with a majority government calls an early election and it badly backfires. Long campaign? Yes (78 days lol). Early election? No, we have a fixed election date act to regulate things and the election lined up with when it needed to be called. If you want a Canadian example, this would be closer to the Alberta Election of 2015, the PC government called an election early (thinking they would wipe the floor with everyone) and ended up getting demolished in the results with the NDP gaining a strong majority. In this case, the Conservatives would retain power (unless there's a coalition), but they would pay for calling an election early.

the DUP being part of a coalition government would make for quite a fascinating landscape politically in Northern Ireland. I can't imagine everyone there will be very happy with a Unionist party having a big role in the decision-making process of the entire United Kingdom.
