The documentary itself is beautifully done and makes you wish that the horrid night in June 2007 never happened. You could see losing Eddie in 05 broke him, and I just wish they could've found a way to save him. Even if he actually only had a year left to live due to a heart issue, watching that documentary shows you that Chris was a passionate caring man. I just wish that even if he died due to the heart issue mentioned prior, that the WWE could've gotten him help. He'd be a Hall of Famer for sure, and Daniel & David would be able to continue his legacy..

The Hard Knocks DVD is not that expensive. You can get one on eBay for $20.

I was the idiot who bought 2 copies of it just in case one was ever lost or damaged because I enjoyed it so much.
Well, my investment didn't pan out.

I have the DVD. It's in storage.
Next time it's out of storage I'll probably toss it.

Threw mine out. The documentary was great but he's not a man who needs to be celebrated.

The hard knocks dvd? They played it during the tribute show I think. The last time I saw that documentary was in 2007 and I don't ever plan to. It's just really creepy.

Knowing what he did, I am sorry but you could never ever watch that documentary normally without just thinking what he was about to do later. No excuse on what if he didn't do it, his brain was going and it was inevitable that he was going to do it because that's what happened !so whatever he says in the Documentary to me its just comes off creepy

I found it a few years ago in the local DVD exchange shop for £3, I would never had paid a lot of money for it otherwise. I haven't watched it yet. I know I could never watch the documentary but thought some of the matches would be OK to see, but have always found an excuse to watch something else instead.

It's a really good DVD set if only for the match selection. I have the DVD. It's in storage. Next time it's out of storage I'll probably toss it. I disagree with this course of action. Threw mine out. The documentary was great but he's not a man who needs to be celebrated. Again, I disagree with throwing it out, and besides, I don't see how it's 'celebrating' him when it was made years before the incident...

Benoit was one of my all time favorites. I followed just about everything he did in New Japan, UWA, ECW, WCW and WWF. I would always look for whatever footage I could find of him when I was big on buying tapes back in the day. I have volumes of six hour squash matches from WCW that I taped years ago somewhere. I loved watching his style of wrestling.
I bought the Hard Knocks DVD the day it came out. Watched it the same day too. Probably watched it a few times after. It was a great documentary.
Then we all know what happened in the summer of 2007. I have my own opinions about the reasons for what happened from things that I've heard from people that knew them. I believe he did it but I'll keep the rest to myself. Disappointed is an understatement. I was crushed. I couldn't put it into words. I'm not one of those people that needs to bury him every time his name is brought up. I can't bring myself to watch his matches anymore. I'm not the type of person that thinks he's better than someone because I won't watch something and they do either. I just don't want to. It's too depressing to me. As a fan, I do miss Benoit and Guerrero. They were so amazing to watch. I wish things turned out differently for everyone.

He murdered a 7-year-old child.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Regardless of anything else he did in his life, he murdered a 7-year-old child.

He murdered a 7-year-old child. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Regardless of anything else he did in his life, he murdered a 7-year-old child. Thus why I don't call when I watch his work "Celebration". Like anything else in history, it's a lesson. A lesson in the perils of the business, concussions, and mental health.

He murdered a 7-year-old child. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Regardless of anything else he did in his life, he murdered a 7-year-old child. Not just a 7 year old child, but HIS 7 year old child, which in my mind makes it that much worse
