I haven’t particularly cared for any film by Kevin Smith after he started thinking that being baked half the time, could substitute for good writing. After seeing his last two films I'm beginning to think that maybe Bruce Willis was right about him being more interested in getting high on set than directing. Also what is up with Smith's new found love for Canada? I honestly don't hate any of the post-Jersey Trilogy movies other than Tusk and J&SBSB. They're all okay to me in their own way, although none of them are really anything that will require a second viewing. As for Canada, his obsession long predates even his marijuana use. I can't remember the story at the moment, but he's told a story about something involving Canada that happened when he was a kid and said he's been obsessed with it ever since. Hell, he and Jay guest starred on an episode, possibly a few, of the newer generation of Degrassi.

Metallica and any of their albums after Burton died. Peter Jackson,Loved his early stuff. Then he stopped making fun horror comedies and started making over long boring epics. Justice, Black, parts of re/load, one or two of death magnetic and I also liked hardwired

Virtual XI is a really middle of the road album for me. I like Futureal, Clansman, Lightning Strikes Twice and Two Worlds Collide, but I can’t stand Educated Fool, Eyes of a Stranger, and especially Angel and the Gambler. Como Estas is just kind of there. As for No Prayer... the only songs I really like are the title track and Runs Silent Runs Deep. Also I really didn’t like how Bruce’s voice started getting raspier on that album and the next. I've said this earlier on the thread, but for me, the bad albums are The X Factor and A Matter of Life and Death (Final Frontier isnt that great either). AMOLAD might be worse as it's just dull and boring, and there's a lack of memorable hooks (at least X Factor has Sign of the Cross, Man on the Edge, and Lord of the Flies, and Final Frontier has El Dorado). I find maidens two most recent albums really boring

By the time he made “Encore” I think Eminem had figured out he could do pretty much anything and sell, so he used the album as a chance to screw around and amuse himself. It certainly showed. 'Encore' at least had "Like Toy Soldiers." 'Relapse' is irredeemable and started the trend of him only making comeback albums.

Bridge of Spies was nominated for 6 oscars, and won 1. As well as a ton of other awards. War Horse also got a bunch of Oscar noms, and other awards too. Maybe I'll have to check them out because if there was any hype to them it flew totally under my radar. Tintin was fun, but forgettable. Bridge of Spies is great, Rylance deserved that Oscar. I'll go with Aerosmith. All time favorite band, but from Just Push Play onward it's pretty bad.

I love Method Man, but I remember thinking "Tical 0: The Prequel" was his worst album. It is, but his albums never really lived up to his potential. He has one of the worst solo album averages, and not a classic to his name, in the Wu.

On the Metallica front - I'll admit to actually liking the Load album, other than "Ain't my Bitch" which just seemed out of place to me on an album that I consider somewhat blues-inspired. Past that, Reload was terrible, St.Anger was terrible, and S&M was terrible; all in my opinion. I haven't heard Lulu so I can't comment and, while I've listened to Hardwired..., I've only heard it in it's entirety once. My feeling is that it was much better than St. Anger but my Metallica experience begins with Kill 'em All and ends with Load. Things have changed in my life and they've changed, as will happen, and the experience just isn't the same. I've moved on to other music but they remain legends in my eyes because their first four albums are absolutely incredible and mean a lot to me. I forgot to mention that I'm not a fan of The Black Album.

Huge disappointment at the time, and still not on the level of Only Built, Liquid Swords, Ironman, Return, No Said Date and arguably Uncontrolled Substance.

Relapse is one of the most bizarre major rap projects that I've ever listened to. It comes across as if Em had two totally different concepts during the recording process (one that would be a stylistic follow-up to The Eminem Show and the other being a horrorcore joint that would introduce a new persona) and instead of releasing them separately he put the best 10 songs from each in a playlist, hit shuffle, and that was the tracklisting. The worst part is that if you can get over that f***ing accent the horrorcore parts of Relapse are some of his best work (Same Song and Dance is outstanding) but the project is littered with absolute garbage like Bagpipes From Baghdad and We Made You.

Is there any great artist who doesn't have a turd or 5 on their resume? I wouldn't like em if they didn't, that shit builds character.

"Through the Never" and "The Struggle Within" are strong enough songs from the second half (IMO of course).

I think its about time someone close to Smith told him to put the joint down.
