I honestly don't hate any of the post-Jersey Trilogy movies other than Tusk and J&SBSB. They're all okay to me in their own way, although none of them are really anything that will require a second viewing. As for Canada, his obsession long predates even his marijuana use. I can't remember the story at the moment, but he's told a story about something involving Canada that happened when he was a kid and said he's been obsessed with it ever since. Hell, he and Jay guest starred on an episode, possibly a few, of the newer generation of Degrassi. Everyone to their own but Yoga Hosers has to be one of the worst films I've seen in a long time. I think its about time someone close to Smith told him to put the joint down. I'm guessing you're not looking forward to Moose Jaws? It's just like Jaws, but - get this - with a moose! Yeah, I still love Kev's '90s work, and his Fatman on Batman podcast is still a regular download for me, but if he's gonna keep making movies, maybe make ones that aren't impenetrable to non-stoners.

If it's any consolation, it was supposed to start filming in March 2016, and that fact that he appears no closer to starting (and, indeed, is concentrating on Jay & Silent Bob Reboot), so it may never come to be.

Black Sabbath's Forbidden album, even Technical Ecstacy/Never Say Die!/Born Again/Seventh Star/Cross Purposes have their fans while this one just stumbles, has some awkward cross promotions with a rapper and was even considered bad by the band at the time. Then vocalist Tony Martin flat out said it was only made to get out of a contract. Arguably the worst part about the album was that til 13 was released, it was the last Black Sabbath album for a long while, and it was shit note to go out on.
Even though I enjoy the albums King Crimson made in between In the court of the crimson king and Larks' Tongues in Aspic, I can admit they have big flaws. In the Wake of Poseidon basically feels like a In the court of the crimson king part 2. And Lizards and Islands have a lot of forgettable songs in between the memorable epics. Probably didn't help they couldn't keep a member beyond a album at this point at least til Larks'.

But from what I understand even his fans mostly hated Johnny Depp in Tusk, then Smith doubles down on him for Yoga Hosers. Makes no sense unless it is a funding issue.

Lily-Rose Depp was one of the leads in Yoga Hosers, so her old man pretty much donated his time for that movie. Kev getting to use an A-List star in his Z-List movie for almost no fee kinda makes sense, no matter how much his own audience hated the character.
