I came in thinking this would be a list of all the times Marty was hired and fired from 1987 and up.

I’d hate to see anyone lose their job, but the WWE needs some serious turnover to freshen things up. There’s only so many of the same combinations that they can put out there before people get bored, and you can have most of the top talent in the world but if you can’t feature them all properly what’s the point? Good idea for a thread though. Yeah, it's a double edged sword. On one hand, it's nice to not see a bunch of people let go every year like in the past and people actually making good money in the business. On the other hand, the roster is over inflated and you can actually make decent money on the indies these days if you have a name.

It's the responsibility of talent to ask for their release if they genuinely want it and they genuinely think they can do better for themselves. Hell, even CJ Parker did alright in that respect.

I don't have a problem with that, except where you have Neville and Daniel Bryan that want to go and can't.

I don't have a problem with that, except where you have Neville and Daniel Bryan that want to go and can't. Bryan's contract runs out in September. We haven't heard that he wants out of his contract. It's more that he probably won't sign a new deal when the time comes. (It might be something he has expressed but, either way, he has the chance to go soon.) So that just leaves Neville. For the most part, WWE doesn't have an issue letting a talent go. For every huge name like Punk with a controversial exit, there's Cody who walked and is a bigger star because of it. I do want WWE to figure out its roster and fix its hiring philosophy. That's why I started this thread. But if WWE's not gonna release you, and you want out, ask for it. I guess... it's funny because a Kevin Owens or a even a Cesaro now, they're not going to quit because they're booked relatively well. You make a good point though.

Well um.
The news was so shocking that I almost forgot to update this.
We have our first release of the year: Enzo, of course.

February 16th: TNA's Shera has been added. Swann's release has been reflected and Mark Andrews has been added as a cruiserweight.

You should update the OP to keep a log of transactions throughout the year.

What exactly is this tracking? List the dates people get hired/released!
This is just a count of how many employees the WWE has. It's literally just a list of numbers. Keep a log and this thread would be much more interesting to follow throughout the year.

Alright, so...
The OP has been updated, as suggested, with the dates and the threads of those hired and fired so far this year. I added Ronda Rousey to the RAW roster.
Drake Maverick's signing was noted, but I haven't included him as an active in-ring competitor.

They have so, so many female backstage interviewers. Dasha's not very good. Like all I can tell you about her is times that she's stumbled. And yet.I also don't know how Cathy got trapped inside the internet.

A few new hires this week: Garza Jr as well as the returning Bobby Lashley.
I'll be updating the OP after the shakeup next week.

Asking for some help here. Were the Saudis featured in the ring last night, the four of them, actually signed to deals or was it a 'keep working hard and you'll get it someday' situation?
I wasn't entirely clear on that. It seems like they were signed though.

I wasn't entirely clear on that. It seems like they were signed though. It was a legitimate tryout held in Saudi Arabia: Triple H's big vision for NXT is to set up developmental territories all over the world so they can cultivate talent wherever they may be without spending money on work visas to bring them to the US. This was basically the first step towards that, where they're going to establish a Saudi Performance Center and these guys are their first recruits.
