Asking for some help here. Were the Saudis featured in the ring last night, the four of them, actually signed to deals or was it a 'keep working hard and you'll get it someday' situation? I wasn't entirely clear on that. It seems like they were signed though. I believe they were part of the group of eight that WWE selected from the tryouts to receive additional training. I don’t know what kind of deal they have, if any, but they’re definitely on WWE’s radar. www.wwe.com/worldwide/article/eight-athletes-to-receive-additional-training-in-saudi-arabia

This was basically the first step towards that, where they're going to establish a Saudi Performance Center and these guys are their first recruits. Thank you both. I know I'm slacking on updating this. I graduate from university in about two weeks and then I'll have time to update the OP. What has happened since the last update is the return of Lashey and the signing of Garza Jr as well as major roster reshuffles. No firings.

Huge update to the first post for those who want to check it out. There are currently at least 208 wrestlers signed to WWE, with at least 10 additions to the roster this year.

That's too many. A lot of people with solid potential are gonna wither on the vine waiting for their number to come up.

Are Ronda's other buddies officially signed yet? Shit, yes. If they've signed in 2018, I'll edit the first post. EDIT: They have. Make it at least twelve additions.

Wrestling is strong right now, anyone that gets released will be fine and get a chance to catch fire on the indies driving their value up.

It looks like there might be a collection of NXT releases this week, so this was worth a bump. So far:
Zeda Uriel Ealy
Yes, only one of the Ealy twins. Looks like the other might have a head injury, which could be bad if WWE releases him with a concussion.

Interesting that most of the releases this year, practically all considering why Enzo and Rich Swann were released, have come from NXT. Thank you for this. I'll update the first post in a few minutes. Also to note that one of the Saudi performers at the GRR, Mansoor, did an AMA on Reddit and it appears none in that group are actually reporting to the PC.

Wow they fired one Ealy brother but not the other, that's like keeping Jimmy Uso and trying to pretend Jey never existed.

Cass is the first main roster wrestler to be released for reasons unrelated to a major scandal. Unless a fetish for beating up little people counts as a fetish.
I'll also add Ellsworth back to the hired list.

July 1st, 2018: I've added Toni Storm & Io Shirai to the 'hired' section; moved Lio Rush to '205'.

I added the names of these newbies that WWE chose to feature. This brings the total of performers that WWE signed in 2018 so far, that we know of, to 22. There are 215 performers signed to WWE overall, based on reports. (excluding Io Shirai and Keith Lee, since they were previously added.) I keep stressing 'based on reports' and 'that we know of' because it's not easy to be precise. But it's a close estimate.
