lol wow, Tian Bing? I thought for sure he was going to get a megapush to the world title years down the line for that Chinese expansion exposure. Though as far as I recall WWE signed a bunch of Chinese recruits alongside Bing. This thread is only 5 pages? As bad as it is that WWE are signing so many talents and not doing much with them you have to admire that so few people are getting cut nowadays aside from obvious troublemakers or young developmental talent who have their whole lives ahead of them. As much as it sucks for me to say it, the Saudi money does have an upside insofar that there's money going into the payroll and keeping people employed. Really hate saying that. When someone big is released it gets its own topic. Probably why this thread doesnt has a bunch of comments

October 2018 Update: Updated the first post with the October signings in NXT and I added Neville to the 'fired' list along with the three developmental talent which @kn mentioned. That brings the total of reported signings in WWE, in 2018, to twenty-nine. Firings are at half that, just about: fifteen.
I don't know what to do with the NXT UK talent that aren't Bate, Seven and Dunne and Storm. Those four clearly have a permanent deal in place with WWE. I'm sure others might. I'll probably just go by Wikipedia and include them in the next update. If the show becomes a weekly thing, I guess it counts.
The number of hirings would jump though. It's really crazy how much content WWE is putting out right now.

Big rumor day for early-2019 hirings. The following are noted as heading to WWE sometime during the first few months:
Shane Strickland ACH Silas Young Trevor Lee
Plus there are rumors about the Elite and the Addiction, neither of which I buy into.

I'm sold on Strickland. I haven't really seen anything from ACH, Young or Lee. I'm indifferent on The Elite and The Addiction.

(Sort of) update: So... assuming that that no one is hired in December, I'll just add the NXT UK roster to the main post before the end of the year. I have no interest in doing that now.
I'll say, as well, that what Hunter is doing as the apparent head of hiring talent is weird. It's like he's hiring all this talent and then keeping them in NXT or NXT UK or 205 Live, stockpiling them and hiding them away from Vince, until Vince moves on? It seems that way.
It sucks as a viewer. I would have loved to see Bate (and Seven, I guess) back up Dunne in WarGames but because of this brand, Mustache Mountain are just big fish in a ridiculously small pond.

It really should have been EC3 in Wargames instead, story-wise. I get that he's NOWHERE NEAR the worker that Dunne is, of course. Just it seemed weird with UE attacking him so much recently that they kept him out otherwise.

Nov. 26: According to PWInsider, WALTER has signed with WWE. Oh good. I can't wait for all the chops. Then maybe some chops. Then maybe some chops. Possibly, some chops will follow. God, put him against Brock Lesnar and you'll be able to count the dust molecules in the air.

Interesting because of MLW which no idea if anybody has real contracts but they are on TV. The Elite I doubt with all this AEW talk and there involvement. The Addiction I'm guessing Daniels and Kazarian unless there is another one I'm unaware of. Even though Daniels still very good, I doubt the WWE is signing him at his age.

I've been reading rumors that Walter signed with WWE, saw some of his matches and this guy could be a huge signing if WWE books him right.

I've been reading rumors that Walter signed with WWE, saw some of his matches and this guy could be a huge signing if WWE books him right. I think he's just going to be on NXT UK.. for now. Here's a article from f4w WALTER has officially signed with WWE. PWInsider first reported the news today, which has been confirmed by our Dave Meltzer. It was expected that WALTER would sign an NXT United Kingdom deal, and PWInsider wrote that he'll "be part of WWE's European expansion plans, including the NXT UK brand." Meltzer reported in March that WWE was interested in signing WALTER and wrote in September that the situation was "back alive" and talks had gotten serious between the sides. WALTER, who is from Austria, is a star for wXw and is the current World Champion in PROGRESS Wrestling and OTT Wrestling. He dropped the PWG World title to Jeff Cobb last month. During an interview with The Mirror in September, WALTER addressed reports of WWE being interested in signing him: "I don’t know if I mentioned this but being a part of the Raw or SmackDown roster is nothing I am interested in. I don’t want to live in the US. I really like NXT though, I think it's a great product, filled with the best talent in the world and is focused on competition in the ring, which is something I enjoy. I don’t want to say it will never happen because in wrestling things change so quick.

This is where NXT UK pays off. WALTER’s wife didn’t want to move to America, which is why he initially turned down their offer. At the same time, he didn’t want to go to New Japan for a month-long tour.
Now WWE gets the big fish by offering a nice salary and an easy schedule “close” to home for him. The most New Japan would be able to counter would be his involvement in RevPro and a match at Wrestle Kingdom.

Silas Young is staying with ROH, but WWE is signing Jonah Rock apparently. So the January class may look like:
Shane Strickland ACH Trevor Lee Jonah Rock WALTER (NXT UK)
