The corpse presumably driving the Firebird did crack me up. At first it was like: "Ok, it's in other dude's mind." But then he just kept driving haha.

I, uh... hated it. What does It WANT? To scare people? Then why does it murder people before they have the chance to get scared? And if it wants to kill people, why be all creepy? Just pop into sleeping people's bedrooms and get 'em. I really wanted the movie to just be the misadventures of zombie Hockstetter going on joyrides. Every once in a while they cut back to him: he's running from the police, he's gambling in Vegas, he's defusing a nuclear bomb. In a post-credit scene, he's sworn in as a member of congress. The same reason why The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers messed with people before killing them. Increasing their fear made the flesh taste better, Pennywise called his method "salting the meat". They tasted better the more afraid they were. Same as in the book too. Pennywise preys on children using the form as a clown since it's easier to lure kids that way than adults.

But he usually DIDN'T make them super-afraid beforehand. At most for like one second... and with some of his victims, like the girl under the bleachers, not at all. Also, dude can go anywhere and be anything, why does he even have to lure anyone in to anything? Again, just break into someone's bedroom, lock the door, and terrorize them for five hours before killing them.

Thing is he's not just killing for food and he's not just killing for killing's sake, he toys with people because he enjoys it. He sees himself as a higher being and he likes that he toys with these lesser creatures making them scared or deceiving stupid children into thinking they're going to have fun.

I think the implication is that he doesn't kill them right away. He drags them to his lair and feeds on them there (all the bodies trapped in web in the first film back this up). Of course there's no way you could show that in even an R rating.

The entire Police force in Derry apparently retired as SOON as they arrested Bowers for the murder of his parents back in 89 or whatever year that was. Also seemingly EVERY parent in Derry is terrible at parenting.
Overall I really liked this movie but it was long as hell (and that final battle at the Climax kinda Drug on)
This movie was even funnier than part 1.
The special effects were VERY good, although not necessarily scary. The moments of quiet tension were more effective to me.

My Head Cannon was always that the Loser's Club kids were special and weren't as easy to kill. Realistically there were PLENTY of opportunities where Pennywise SHOULD have been able to kill them instead of just scaring them.

If you go by the book canon, not the movie, the losers club is special because they all have a bit of the shining in them. It is hinted at in the book.

Bill Hader was the MVP of this movie for me. Outside of that, nothing memorable really

Saw it tonight. It was ok.
CGI is hard to make scary. The old woman scene, creepy as hell until a video game character appeared.
Same as the fortune cookies. Getting the messages, creepy. The CGI things coming out, nope.
The most unrealistic thing is how only like 2 of the losers club had normal jobs.
Millionaire writer, millionaire property developer, millionaire comedian, married to a millionaire, millionaire risk analyst. Knob off. Its farfetched to 5 millionaires from same achool, let alone same group of friends

In the book it goes into much deeper detail as to why law enforcement and parents are horrible at their jobs. It's hinted at in the first film, however, when it comes to the novelization it explains how the presence of Pennywise has shrouded Derry and its citizens mental state. Hence why parents aren't acknowledging their kids existence, law enforcement attempting to cover up or lie about certain murders, and the fact that every citizen in Derry is in a apathetic state.

Obviously they changed it from the book whereas Eddie was a limo driver and Richie was a DJ.

Pennywise and even the Creeper loved toying with their food/victims before murdering/feasting on them. Sure, they can slip into their homes and end it immediately. Where's the fun in that for them? Why end it quickly when they can increase their fear? As it's been stated in the book. Pennywise instilling an inhuman amount of fear in his victims was "salting the meat".

I dunno how much risk assessor pays, but it seems like it's gonna be a 6 figure income so he's gotta be around the millionaire ball park. It's not a huge deal, but kinda killed the believeability that none of them bar Mike had regular, ordinary jobs. How many people from regular schools become millionaires? From mine there's one, who is a bigshot accountant in Hong Kong. Rest are like, retailer staff, cab drivers, builders, mechanics.

Maybe I missed something, but when Pennywise sings about Richie's "dirty little secret" what is he talking about?
Like, I was expecting there to be a big revelation that he was responsible for Pennywise returning, or did something offscreen to betray the Losers club. Yet, unless I missed something, there wasn't a payoff?
Creepy as hell scene though. One of the creepiest in the movie.
Oh, and I was disappointed that there was nothing in the tea the old woman gave Bev. I was really expecting her to take a sip and find like, teeth inside or something horrible.

On a side note, I did NOT recognize that it was Stephen King playing the shopkeeper. Either he was wearing old man makeup, or he's aged quite a bit (well, he IS 71 years old).

Had a pretty strong hold on its second weekend.
Again, impressive for a nearly 3 hour R rated Horror movie.
