On a side note, I did NOT recognize that it was Stephen King playing the shopkeeper. Either he was wearing old man makeup, or he's aged quite a bit (well, he IS 71 years old). Apparently they also filmed another scene that got cut where they show Bill selling the bike as a kid and the shopkeeper was played by Joe Hill.

Saw it yesterday with my sister. The opening and the bleacher scene were the only scary/disturbing things in the movie but I was INCREDIBLY entertained throughout. It felt very Sam Raimi which was the best way to take things where you already know how the plot will turn out. I was dying at multiple scenes, particularly Eddie at the pharmacy and Mike explaining his Native American journey to Bill. It's definitely not as well-constructed as the first movie but I had a lot more fun watching this one.

There's been a lot of talk here about whether one liked it or not(I liked it), if it was too long or not(those three hours breezed by for me) and faithfullness to the book(haven't read it yet).
But there seems to be one thing that we all agree on...
Bill Hader was incredible.

I hear they’re making a third one that is more prequel, about the thing before it became a clown. I hope they stop there, we don’t need anymore sequels. Pennywise vs... uh.....maybe, but.....that’s as far as they should go. We don’t need Pennywise taking New York or Canada or space.

Pennywise vs Freddy (that one would actually be pretty interesting)

I watched it tonight with the wife and whilst I enjoyed it, the first had a few scares whereas the attempts at scaring just made me laugh
Also I have a feeling especially with the how Pennywise dies at the end, that scene will be mocked as much as Tim Curry IT is for being corny (And I love Tim Curry’s IT for the record)
So good but not really scary at all. Glad I waited till could watch it at home though didn’t realise how long it was, though didn’t drag too much
