A didn't see how it was transphobic and don't even get an inkling of homophobia.
The first reason they used guys was because well... they are big and ugly. Second is they weren't going to have Bobby Lashley beat up three actual women.
The segment was dead on arrival. Even how it played out didn't make sense.
It didn't make anybody look better and the only reaction that was intended was laughing at the ugly guys dressed as women.

Oh no I totally get you, just joking around. And yeah that's where it does sort of come around to the issues here; "Ha ha a man in a dress!" and especially like with Santina when he was being booked against other women and fighting for the Ms. Wrestlemania title and all that, are absolutely problems that imply trans women are just men in dresses. And in last night's case, with the guys putting on "I'm trying to sound female" voices, it's still not great. It doesn't have to involve open slurs and direct mockery for it to have shades of transphobia in there and for it to subtly be leaning in that direction. Especially when you consider there's just literally no reason for it to be men instead of women aside from giving Vince some yucks because he thinks men in dresses are funny.Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live today that the reason they had men dressed as women instead of women is because WWE can't/won't do male-on-female violence. Ok so why does Lashley have to beat them up? Why can't he attack on Sami? That's bad reasoning.

Especially when you consider there's just literally no reason for it to be men instead of women aside from giving Vince some yucks because he thinks men in dresses are funny. Well they DID get beat up by Lashley for their trouble. If it WAS actual women (Cis or Trans) getting beat that would get way more heat (with good reason) Oh no I totally get you, just joking around. But they didn't need Lashley to have attacked theoretical women hired to pretend they were his sister. Or they could have had a "brother" in there somewhere who Lashley could have hit. I feel like "they needed to be men so Lashley could beat them up" is getting the cart before the horse; Vince didn't think "And then Bobby will beat the women and--shit, wait, we can't have him hit women! Get me men!" He thought men pretending to be women would be funny because Vince has always thought that was funny, and that core premise just informed the rest of the segment.

If not, they might have just wanted to have Lashley not let everyone off scott free but didn't want him getting to Sami right now, either.

Also beating up four people is way more visually impressive.
Look at Lashley and look at Zayn, in a one on one he's SUPPOSED to be able to rip a dude like that up (it also makes sense Zayn would enjoy some hot hired muscle)
I'm mad I'm putting more thought in this than the actual show writers

Maybe, but then again, Bully Ray used to get face pops for beating up women, so, yeah... times were different, eh?

You know...
It doesn't take much effort for those men to just be dressed normally and have them be advocates for Lashley's sisters. They could be lawyers, they could their boyfriends/husbands or, what do you know, they could be the bodyguards of said sisters. Lashley could then beat them up and it would make him look more impressive than beating up 3 dudes dressing up as women. As if that's suddenly a smart plan. As if Zayn and Lashley are f***ing idiots. There was really no need for that. I don't want to hear any "but Vince likes that stuff so-" crap, it was just horrible work that could be better. Let alone those stupid "boys locker room attacks" Lashley was doing to them, it's 2018.
It was just stupid.

I haven't seen this, so I gotta ask, is this one of the worst segments ever? Like top 5 worst ever? I'm talking Dr Heiny, bark like a dog, Katie Vick, and ultimate Warrior's wcw promo level of awfulness.

It could be, if you're inclined to take that into account.

Lars Sullivan has teamed with one of the sisters 😁 That's clearly a typo, that's Bobby's sister Victoria.

Are you saying that you didn't cry when Lashley punched the helmet to signify that he's working to overcome the trauma of his childhood? Nah, I didn’t watch the segment. I’m gonna have to later anyway to write up the entry for the Golden Snowcones. And yes, I know they’re not until Christmas, but I’m fairly confident that this won’t be topped. Which makes me think RD is gonna cancel the Gooker vote again this year. Also that segment was so bad I yelled at my wife for putting something in my coffee, and then started wondering if I was sleep deprived again like WrestleMania 32, but nope, what I saw actually happened.

I tapped out two minutes in.
That felt like some bootlegged Tyler Perry's bullshit.
Some of the worst wooden promos ever.
This is worst than Bayley's this is your life.

I've only seen the 5 minute clipped version in this thread, how long DID this go on?
It's only mildly annoying at 5 minutes but if this went 10+ minutes I could see it being excruciating
