Just read that Bryan has been pushing the turn. So.....maybe ease up on crying about what big jerks the company is? That’s usually what happens. I’m no different, but everyone almost always jumps to conclusions about how this or that is “a spit in the face by Vince to the fans/the worker.” Sure, he’s done some dumb shit, but this goes to show that we really don’t know what goes down behind the scenes at times. I find it fascinating that people see every dumb move by WWE as Vince McMahon personally spitting in their faces.

The timing was weird and yes, there have been a lot of these turns lately. However, I like this one. Bryan returned and couldn't get big wins. He struggled against Cass, lost to Miz (only beat him in lucky fashion) and couldn't beat AJ. It was getting to him. Things changed around him. He had to do something different. This was it. The story shouldn't have been shit to begin with. If anything the better story here would be that even turning heel doesn't work and Bryan would have to dig to to find something deeper within himself to win. He'd have to win for something other than his own personal desire. I'd been wanting Bryan to beat Miz for the title, but I appreciate them going a different route. The underdog story is basically always what they do with Daniel. It's nice to see them trying something new. Nobody felt like Becky or Sami should've gone a more heel route and it worked wonders for them.

If it's true that the heel turn was Bryan's idea, that it's really what he wanted to do, then I will reluctantly abide by his wishes and *boo the hell out of him*.

I love vicious heel Bryan, but I don't know where this leaves Smackdown in terms of face/heel balance.

I love vicious heel Bryan, but I don't know where this leaves Smackdown in terms of face/heel balance. Not in great shakes, really. Styles, Hardy and Mysterio are kind of it as it goes for main event level faces. Beyond that, the next best singles guy is, like, R-Truth.

They could elevate Rusev to top-tier face since he isn't really doing anything after the Aiden English feud. Either that, or call up a NXT guy post-Survivor Series.

Huh...apparently they wrestled in wXw in 2010 when Bryan was released.

I'd enjoy the heel turn more if we could trust the WWE to book him as one.

I do like his demented smile I've always liked DB more as a heel so i'm willing to see how this goes However, SD turns every popular face a heel they turned rusev face, i’d say raw turns every popular face heel

My thing isn't that Bryan can't make it work, it's that I worry WWE can't make the booking work. But, they made Bryan's first run work really well... though one could argue a lot of that was after the 17 seconds debacle that WWE booked and the fans sort of hijacked but... regardless, it's all gonna come down to execution not from Bryan, but from Smackdown's ass backwards booking lately...

Why do they think heel Bryan is gonna work? They know the fans wont boo Him. Why do they think smackdown needs another top heel When They already have Orton, Joe, Nakamura, Miz hell You could even do something with InsaNity Smackdown has like 5 top faces now AJ, Hardy and the other 3 being New Day. I dont even watch WWE anymore really but still keep up with it but I think I should just ignore the whole company now as its so dumb that it stresses Me out.

Even if it's Bryan's idea I'm f***ing burned out on every plot point being a gut punch to get 5 minutes of shocked crowd reactions.
We had to have 10+ years of Cena doing the same character in the main event but Bryan as an underdog was done in like 2 with like 3 months total as face world champ?

Yeah, I think someone like Aleister Black is probably due a callup soon. That'd be cool. Have him take the US title off Nakamura and send Nakamura to Raw for Balor. They might as well turn Joe face or make him a face leaning tweener, since the guy has nothing going on right now.

Bryan is one of Vince's favourite workers, it's been said before, and I think he's very confident in him.
