Another celeb dies in 2018 and human trainwreck Marty Janetty keep's rockin and rollin, struttin and strollin And attempting to bang women who may or may not be his daughter. RIP to Mr Bush. 94 is a long innings, by anyones estimation. Regardless of politics, I think most (although perhaps not all) people in politics deserve respect for choosing to serve their country in this way. It's not an easy job, and if you reach the upper echelons, it puts a target on your back for the rest of your life.

RIP sir. First President I was aware of as a kid. Will be synonymous with the Presidency for me.
I guess it wouldn't have been long since Barbara passed.

I was too young really to know him as anything other than his Dana Carvey caricature, but yeah, you can't disagree, the man lived a long, full, fascinating life.

Funny story I always will associate with George Bush:
He was elected when I was in kindergarten. One day, my teacher gave us the assignment of drawing the new president. It was a paper with a rectangle at the top where you draw him and then answer a few questions.
Anyways, my grandpap was an amazing drawer and painter. My parents told me to ask grandpap to draw the picture. He goes and freehand draws what could have been an official White House portrait. Like from the neck up, glasses on, wrinkles, the whole nine.
I take it to school and turn in a picture that even the most artistically gifted five year old couldn't draw. I got TWO gold stars.
My grandpap passed away in July 2016. I hope they run into each other and laugh about that one.

He was iconic. Hope people set aside their feelings and partisan outlooks....but I doubt it....

He is the first one I actually remember, having been born in 82. Before that I was totally unaware. My main memory of the 92 election his how our grade school used to get these weekly newsletters, and that week there were big pictures of him and Clinton on the front. So we were all drawing stuff like horns, black eyes, missing teeth, etc. on their faces.

Wait... there's only 4 former President's alive? Jimmy Carter Bush Jr Clinton Obama Jeez.... Well, Clinton, George W., and Obama were all two term presidents, so that's 24 years and only 3 presidents. Makes sense so few formers would be living now.

R.I.P. Seemed like a good dude. His link to The Simpsons is awesome. I prefer The Critic: “I’ve given money to Republicans fo years and never asked for a thing.” “You asked to be secretary of balloon doggies.” “I did not! The balloon doggies demanded it!”

Well, Clinton, George W., and Obama were all two term presidents, so that's 24 years and only 3 presidents. Makes sense so few formers would be living now. We actually had a similar streak under Bill Clinton in 1993 - Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I. Nixon died in April 1993, but we didn’t lose another until Reagan died in 2003, so we were up to Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton. So, five in an era of great health care isn’t unreasonable. But yeah, poor Carter is now alone, the only former President until we get to Clinton. The thing we should really be mourning twofold - the death of experience in history and the death of presidents we disagreed with, but still believed to be decent men.
