Reading the Torch article, I don't think this is a case of burnout and just wanting to go home either. It's stated that he is creatively unhappy in WWE. If that is the main reason for leaving then that won't be fixed by sitting at home.
This is still a breaking story so I could be wrong, but from what we know my gut tells me Dean is heading elswhere.

Moxley showing up in AEW would be huge for them. How did WWE fumble his return? He comes back looking like a star in the best shape of his career, and he ends up getting a shot in his ass and dressing like dollar store Bane. A huge missed opportunity.

At least he can walk away with his head held high. He’s had a HOF career. He was part of probably the greatest faction of all time and a Grand Slam Champion. He knows he’ll make big wherever he goes next.

I was hoping this would mean he's wife would go with him and free me of her awful announcing, but even if she did they would probably replace her with Beth Phoenix which is even worse. I'm not sure what to say about it really, he's my least favorite of The Sheild and I only really like his mic work the first year of The Sheild. His heel turn makes him seem very limited and a bit of a wannabee Stone Cold.

On the flip side if he does leave and goes elsewhere I wonder if Renee decides to go with him

Wowwwwww. Ambrose was pretty much my favourite until his heel turn and now he's just a guy. I wouldn't blame him if he was unhappy. His chance of being a Champion again is pretty remote.

What's Superintendent AM Brose doing in the Impact Zone? And now I want to see a Jon Moxley & Sami Callihan/oVe feud If he goes elsewhere I hope it is AEW, but I expect he'll be a success wherever he is.

What's Superintendent AM Brose doing in the Impact Zone? He took Flying James on the Harry Potter ride, James got scared, ran off, and Dean's pretty sure he went into the Impact Zone. Somebody help the man find his damn raccoon.

I would put it on the same level as Cody, TBH. If true, it sounds like it's about at the same level of acrimony for similar reasons. And, coincidentally, you have to figure AEW and ROH are going to be chomping at the bit to sign the guy as a centerpiece of the Free Agent Wars. I'd say bigger than Cody, former champion and the first of the Shield to leave the company. I'd say AEW, ROH, Japan, Acting in order of likelihood. That the Khan's can offer WWE money would be a factor. I don't think he's got the background for MMA or another sport. yesh no disrespect to him but this is way bigger than Cody. Dean and seth were the b and c main eventer to roman's A. Dean is a grand slam champion and his career was hall of fame worthy in like 3 years. If Dean's not happy with the way his heel turns gone I really can't blame him. It's been awful and the crowd are reflecting that and considering where he was in that regard beforehand that is astounding

Infection of the elbow, sounded like golden staph, which is definitely deadly

Really bad staph infection during his surgery recovery that could have proven fatal.

Oh shit, the curse lives on. What the hell? I don't follow current wwe but this look is terrible? I preferred his grunge shield look to whatever this is? Looks like a random nobody who walked in off the street.

I think they were trying to avoid having him be "cool heel" since he'd have just kept getting cheered, but they took it too far in another direction.
