Connor Braxton is probably not a name many fans have heard. Braxton, hails from Iowa, and is one of the first graduates of the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy ran by Marek Brave and a guy named Seth Rollins. At 6'5" and about 250lbs., he has the makings of a solid powerhouse wrestler. He's still raw and inexperienced (I think he might be 23), with right around 100 matches so far, but he has definite potential, and he does have a pretty sweet spinebuster. Most of Braxton's experience so far has been on lower level midwestern independents, as you might expect, but he has been showing up in AAW, and I expect him to show up a lot more in 2019. He seems like a good guy too, and shared a story on his twitter on how his first pair of wrestling boots were gifted to him by Roman Reigns. I can't help but root for the guy. The biggest profile match I could find, is this crazy six way from AAW, which features a whole bunch of "Indy Guys to Watch" (don't worry they'll get their own threads): And for those interested in past "Indy Guy to Watch" threads: Lotus (Juntai & "GQ" Gavin Quinn)"The Neon Ninja" Facade"Jungle Boy" Nate Coy (Just signed by AEW!) "The Ace of Spades" Ace Austin"Hot Fire" Myron Reed"The Young Lion" Tyler MatrixJake Something

It's the hoverboard guy! I remember him from that free AAW show that streamed a while back. I laughed 'til I cried watching him.

I'm always inclined to root for Iowa wrestlers at least a little, given I lived there for a few years. I like what I see.

The only thing I have to contribute to this thread is that he has the names of two of my cousins.

Was he in czw? Member of the nation of intoxication? That would be Conor Claxton, you're thinking of.

I'm a regular AAW attendee. I see the potential there, but he desperately needs a gimmick. He's very solid but his style and personality don't stand out. He is regularly paired with Stephen Wolf, I think he needs someone with a bit more charisma for him to learn from. Maybe have him work a program with a veteran. He's a good raw talent, just needs some guidance.

It's always a head scratcher when I see, for example, a Kay Lee Ray and a Kylie Rae.
