Ugh, I'm torn between wanting to pick one up and being disappointed Sonic 3 isn't included. Tempted to just buy one now for when they disappear everywhere from being so popular.

I felt burned after the PlayStation Mini...is this any better? Way better. Games play much better with a far stronger list of games to choose from.

I've spent my night sampling a bit of almost every game, and yeah, this is much better than the PS1 mini

I suspect a lot of people are waiting for confirmation on how easily the Mini can be hacked to place more games in before get it.
I've already seen various Classic Sonic fans saying its basically not complete unless some version of 3 & Knuckles is on there, so if it can be hacked that's probably first on a lot of people's lists to put on.

If I didn't already have so many ways of playing Sega Genesis games in HD and had a lot more money to burn, I'd definitely buy one right now.
But I will get one eventually, you know, cause it's a cool looking mini Genesis replica.

Just bought the 6-button controller for it because I'm not playing gimped Comix Zone...

I don't care for the three button controller's method of going to the menu by holding start for at least five seconds. On the plus side, the 6 button goes instantly when pressing "Mode"

Not sure I need this considering I already hacked my snes mini and have a load of sega games on it. Looks cool though and the line up of games in impressive.

Already got a model 1 Genesis with a flash cart,so unless this becomes extremely cheap I am not going to bother getting it.

Picked one up today. I was going to wait until it was hacked, but I figure these are going to be difficult to find towards the holiday season. And yeah, happy so far. There’s games I wish were included (Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Ristar, Rocket Knight Adventures), but it’s a great list included and the emulation is top-notch from what I can tell. You can definitely see Sega put love into this.
Also slightly off-topic, maybe I just don’t give it enough of a chance before moving on, but I have never enjoyed Ecco the Dolphin.

Internally the Genesis Mini is basically the same exact product as the SNES, so hacking's pretty much already coming together on it.

The JP version included 2 Sega-branded six button controllers, making it worth the ¥9,600 asking price just for those, Tetris, and Darius.
I’ll probably mostly just use the controllers for PC emulation and just have the console as a cute display piece.
