I dig it! As much as I love their mellower tunes, it's the "hardcore" stuff that really got me into the band (Box Full of Sharp Objects, Say Days Ago). I'm glad to see they haven't abandoned the hard stuff, while still embracing the...uh, artier side they displayed on "In Love and Death" (though, that also had a few hard rockers on it).
Anyway, yeah, it's rockin'! Can't wait for the album! (And I hope I can find a cheap copy of "Berth" somewhere.)

I love how much strings and generally odd stuff they're incorporating into their new stuff. I haven't heard a song I don't like from 'em yet.

Classical instruments kick major ass. And yeah, like you, I've enjoyed every Used song I've heard (it's just a matter of some more than others).

Definitely.
I think "I'm A Fake" is probably my favourite song by them so far. But with the way things are looking, the next album will change that.

I really love the one-two punch of "Light With a Sharpened Edge" and "Sound Effects and Overdramatics" off of In Love and Death. Before ILAD, my favorite song of theirs was "Noise and Kisses". And the hidden track off the self-titled album is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Yeah...they put on an amazing show. Saw 'em live on the first Taste of Chaos. I was hoping to go this year but I didn't get the chance. That's me with them...I look terrible, but regardless.

Sound Effects and Overdramatic........
I like that song. I first heard it off of some guy's football highlight video from YouTube.
I really have nothing else to add. It was just one of those "hey, those guys like the song too!" deals.

I couldn't possibly read 8 pages worth of Fall Out Boy discussion, in fact, I'd likely die of alcohol poisoning or liver failure before I was able to will myself to do so. Personal musings aside:
Fall Out Boy sucks.
Really
Really
Really sucks.
Hard.
Really hard.

Oh, those silly musical genres, always being argued about. There are even pop punk elitists.
But I tend to think FOB USED to be pop punk...and now they've shifted to just generally pop or pop rock, with less punk elements with From Under the Cork Tree.
