If continual employment with WWE meant be there, be awful as a athlete and have no entertainment value/talent to make up for little in ring talent, than Albert should be employed for life. But if being with WWE is based on ring talent or being able to get over on the mic than Albert should have never been employed so long. When he came back as Tensai, I just saw it as horrible Albert, the same guy who was horrible several years earlier. I would put almost any of the names listed here as more talented, entertaining and deserving of long term employment than Albert. I think Albert is a fine mid or lower card talent. He acts legit one that beating him means something at least. But beating Cena and Punk? Yeh ,no.

It doesn't erase it but it shows the machine was behind him and a big part of him Structure helped Sandow. In TNA he was like an actor suddenly being asked to write and direct when those skills just aren't in his wheelhouse. He's very much a product of the 00s WWE developmental system, great look, can read a script, but has a hard time improvising and adapting to new styles of working. OVW, FCW and DSW were a robot factory. Yeh I dont think the machine was behind him since he could have been bigger in WWE but he worked well with then. But in TNA he got ALL his flaws exposed.

There's a 3rd one that the 'E rejected that TNA took, but I can't remember. I want to say Brodus Clay pitched something He pitched the Hall of Pain gimmick which went to Mark Henry.

Conceptually the idea of a sort of inverted Undertaker gimmick could potentially work, but Mordecai sure as hell wasn't it.

I want to say Brodus Clay pitched something He pitched the Hall of Pain gimmick which went to Mark Henry. Which was probably the best choice anyway. Henry has a scary factor and it doesn't sound corny when he says he will induct you into his hall of pain From Brodus, idk how that was going to work

Lady Gaga and Liberace are cultural icons, and it is not at all a bad idea to have wrestling characters based on them.
But there is more to Lady Gaga than being bisexual, and there is more to Liberace than being gay, and the embarrassing part is if THOSE are the things you choose to play up.

You're supposed to take that character and make it your own Velveteen Dream with the obvious strong Prince vibes and it was too on the nose when he first debut with the gimmick. He reworked it and came back with his own flair and has made it his own

I think your being a little harsh on him in the in ring and athletic ability department. Until his last run as Tensai when he was clearly broke down I thought for a big guy Albert always displayed pretty good athleticism and mobility. Guy played college football which obviously isn't something you can do if your awful as an athlete. He could also do some impressive moves in ring like the pump kick to the face or the gorilla press into a Michinoku Driver finisher he had during the Prince Albert run. So I mean the guy had some ability and wasn't some slow lumbering hoss who was just getting pushed because he was big. Problem with him was that he had very little personality and charisma and as a result was never over no matter how many chances they would give him. It seemed like every year they would try with an Albert/A-Train push and nobody would ever care. Guy definitely got too many chances I'll give you but on the other hand you never hear anything bad about him attitude wise so maybe he was just someone they kept around and repackaged a lot because he was just a good dude who was good for locker room morale (ala Barry Darsow, Brian Adams, Charles Wright).

He was still pretty mobile in Japan from what I have heard. They just decided that Tensai should be slow methodical and make ninja poses. Rather than just a force of nature type heel

Solomon Crowe as hacker in nxt. They did some cool things cutting into programming and making these cool edgy videos with him hanging out in sketch areas backstage. Then he hit the ring with troll hair and a fat woman's bathing suit.

I believe this happened in the middle of 2015 when she was there for a tryout and when the tweets came out they obviously weren't going to hire her He was gone later in the year

They should have found a better idea for El Gigante/Giant Gonzales. I liked watching him in WCW.
