I mean, they're still absolutely doing that, those people just do the Florida loop. That's really the problem with NXT's structure - it's developmental, but it's also a brand in its own right trying to sell its own shows so they also need to have established star power. And of course due to constantly being used for both those things while also being a feeder for the main roster, it basically leads to a pipeline where new people are constantly coming in only to have nowhere to go and nothing to do. And last I heard, they weren't even getting raises for being on USA. twitter.com/ifyouseekcasey/status/1195740894261055488?s=19If this holds any truth to it and Casey is pretty reliable and really conected especially about the women in WWE then atleast some people have gotten raises in NXT recently upon signing new deals.

I think this is a slap in the face of Danny Burch. If WWE grants Lorcan his release, that will leave Burch high & dry. Yes, they sort of separated them with Lorcan's move to 205 Live, but they still teamed on occasion in NXT. This reminds me of when Nick Miller left NXT, leaving Shane Thorne to fend for himself.

I'm really not seeing any issue here. It's basically just a guy making a move that he perceives as beneficial to his own career or life, which it'd be stupid to pass on solely for someone else's benefit. People leave jobs where they have coworkers they're especially involved in working with all the time. Also Miller left because he wanted to spend more time with his family.

WWE could genuinely let 70 people throw up their deuces right now and I wouldn't even notice. That's how overcrowded that place is.

Yeah, it's not like Davey Richards f***ing over Edwards, this is a totally different situation.

I like the guy, but I don't think "Everybody mad dash for AEW" is going to result in as many people getting signed as they're all hoping.
Some of them are gonna be toiling away in MLW.
If they're OK with that, though, cool. I'd like to see more non-Luchadores in MLW, since they've got a LOT of that style already.

Yeah, I guess Burch will be OK. He can always go to NXT UK. But this is all probably a moot point, since no one has been given their release that asked for it.

He’s a good wrestler but bland as shit.
There’s too many guys that look the same in WWE.
“Bald guy with beard” seems to apply to about 15 different guys these days.

"Ugly Brawler that throws himself around like damned pinball on offense" was something WWE didn't have a lot of. There are people who pinball when bumping, but Lorcan does it as OFFENSE.

Wrestlers now grew up as fans of wrestling and want to wrestle. Brock's the last of the old kind in WWE still remotly active apart from when HHH's nose catches a whiff of January, so if you arent being used and have no opportunity to do what you love you're obviously going to gamble and be your own boss with wrestlings popularity with hardcore fans the way it is.

This is the best way to get noticed by the WWE and until it stops working, it will continue to happen.

This feels less "headed to AEW" and more like "utterly disillusioned with WWE and/or the entire business" to me.

Depends on the intention, really; AEW can't take everyone, but NXT starting contracts aren't very big if there isn't a bidding war for you. You can potentially make more hustling the indies if you have the talent, the idea of taking a smaller contract to go to NXT is that you'll eventually hit the main roster and make a lot more money. If you're trapped in NXT feeling like you're going nowhere fast and there's a backlog keeping you from advancing, then leaving and heading to where you stand a better chance of making money remains a smart call even if you can't get into one of the big players.

Finger pointing his way out of the building with nobody giving a damn. WWE aren't going to let him go. Like most hoarders, they don't use their possessions well and are content for a lot of them to just sit on the sidelines, but they are teriffied of losing any of them.

Good for him. And RIP to the worst name in WWE.
As awesome as he is, I can't take someone with the name Oney Lorcan seriously.
Biff Busick is a way better name. Sounds like a guy that would kick your ass for looking at him wrong.

Seems like Oney might not be the only person leaving WWE within the next few months. Dave reported on WOR this morning that Kairi Sane has expressed backstage that she's looking into potentially signing with another company. And her deal is apparently up sometime around Wrestlemania.

It's WrestleMania Pirate Flag, and they took away her pirate gimmick. Why would she even stay at this point?
