Per Dave Meltzer on today's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio:
*Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns is no longer the plan for WrestleMania, speculates it may be Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns with Goldberg winning on Thursday.
*Wyatt will face John Cena instead, with the Cena/Elias match being scrapped.
*Bayley vs. Naomi was the plan for WrestleMania, but that's been moved to Thursday. No word on who Bayley will face at WrestleMania (maybe Sasha?)
*Most of the planned matches on the SmackDown side have changed recently.

Goldberg is now Ultimate Warrior-level god tier. At 50. How does he do it? The warrior was a shamanistic avatar of violence. Goldberg is just some massively ripped old jewish dude. Why is he so powerful? Someone has to investigate this. It's the greatest mystery in wrestling history. Is he powered by some bizarre Lucha Undergroundesque force?

I will believe this when I see it. I respect Meltzer, but I think he was fed some bad info here just like with Seth Rollins' "rah rah" speech.

I'd much prefer that card tbh, but I don't know if I could get through all the hysteria that'd come with The Fiend taking his first L to Goldberg.

The whole Bray/Goldberg thing smells like an audible.

Sure, whatever, f*** it.
After last year's solid, if overlong, 'Mania, I guess we're due for a total mess one.

Me: "Oh man, I don't want Cena's return wasted on Elias".
Monkey's Paw: "I'll fix that."

Why not Goldberg v. Cena?

Awesome, that’s exactly what I was hoping for. Might even be better to have Wyatt keep the belt so the Cena match is for #17, as Goldberg vs. Roman doesn’t need the title but I can see the appeal of doing it this way as well.

He’s really never been booked as weak. His first WWE run he ended Triple H’s reign of terror, and then beat Lesnar on his way out. He came back a few years ago and beat an even more unstoppable Lesnar again.

Why not Goldberg v. Cena? Guess the thinking would be they’re two part timers. So who’s getting put over that’s sticking around. Not that this is logic they always use but.. Not gonna lie, I’d be hyped more for Cena/Fiend, Roman/Goldberg than the prior rumored stuff.

So The Fiend is gonna lose to a 50yr old Goldberg and then more than likely get jobbed out to Cena.
Well took Bray alot quicker to fall back into his usual booking trope of look menacing in the build and get jobbed out like a geek in the matches.

Fiend vs Cena only works for me if Wyatt retains the belt at Blood Money and Cena puts him over

Not gonna lie, I’d be hyped more for Cena/Fiend, Roman/Goldberg than the prior rumored stuff. It's crazy to think how many iterations this card must have at this point, and it's a month away. I'm sure there's more still to come too. Fiend/Undertaker could've been a fun match, if overbooked to the nines. I want Undertaker shooting lightning bolts at The Fiend as he shrugs them off. I want the puppets to be used as suicide-bombers trying to get Taker. I want Kane to show up, only to be set on fire. I want some insanity if there has to be an Undertaker match. Goldberg will be fine putting over Roman. Their match will be short at least, but a Cena v. Goldberg match sounds like an actual WM worthy match.

Kinda booked themselves into a corner with the Fiend being an unstoppable monster haven’t they? So you are supposed to think an old guy who has barely wrestled in decades can beat him but a guy in his prime (Rollins) can’t or someone like D-Bryan can’t? Rollins straight up murdered the guy and he still got up.
Don’t get me wrong I like old man ass kicker Goldberg but the idea of him holding a title at this stage of his career doesn’t sit right with me.

To be fair, Meltzer appears to be reporting Wyatt vs. Cena as the plan but he is just speculating as to the Goldberg winning the title and facing Roman parts of the story.

Rollins did beat The Fiend pretty decisively to the point where the match was stopped. Say what you want about Goldberg but yesterday I went to my son's baseball tryout (7-8 year olds) and some of these kids were talking about WWE. One said "Oh yeah? WWE sucks!" But they all agreed on the awesomeness of Bill Goldberg.
