They've teased it for 3 years. Roman threw a jab a Goldberg awhile ago, and we know all these always lead to a work. It's a big fight feel. Spear vs. Spear finally. Have Fiend be a Special attraction without a title.

Rollins did beat The Fiend pretty decisively to the point where the match was stopped. Say what you want about Goldberg but yesterday I went to my son's baseball tryout (7-8 year olds) and some of these kids were talking about WWE. One said "Oh yeah? WWE sucks!" But they all agreed on the awesomeness of Bill Goldberg. Yeah, I know quite a few people who know jack about recent stuff but light up at Goldberg being brought back. Anecdotal and probably nostalgia, but still. Guess the thinking would be they’re two part timers. So who’s getting put over that’s sticking around. Not that this is logic they always use but.. Not gonna lie, I’d be hyped more for Cena/Fiend, Roman/Goldberg than the prior rumored stuff. It's crazy to think how many iterations this card must have at this point, and it's a month away. I'm sure there's more still to come too. Fiend/Undertaker could've been a fun match, if overbooked to the nines. I want Undertaker shooting lightning bolts at The Fiend as he shrugs them off. I want the puppets to be used as suicide-bombers trying to get Taker. I want Kane to show up, only to be set on fire. I want some insanity if there has to be an Undertaker match. Goldberg will be fine putting over Roman. Their match will be short at least, but a Cena v. Goldberg match sounds like an actual WM worthy match.I absolutely agree. Goldberg Vs Cena still at least sounds like a huge WrestleMania match to me. It’d be quick. Bowling-shoe ugly, as JR would say. But still appealing. I do think splitting them (Cena/Fiend, Roman/Goldberg) is better than having Goldberg/Cena as an appeal match and leaving Roman w/ The Fiend. There’s also me wondering what Cena would personally prefer. Like, I see Bill being down for whatever but I get the feeling John would prefer working with Bray. Give him his WrestleMania win back. Plus there’s the appeal of dangling that 17th title win.

Here's an underrated problem with The Fiend: Bray Wyatt has already feuded with everyone. It's a fresh coat of paint but let's be real here. Wyatt feuded incessantly with Reigns in 2015. Do we need more of that, especially with him being The Fiend and no selling everything? And if you do that at WM where do you even go after WM? I can see a certain logic in Goldberg besting The Fiend after hitting him with 10 spears and jackhammers, but then Reigns beats Goldberg at WM. The Fiend can beat Cena and take out a legend (another stale match, but it beats Cena/Elias). Then The Fiend can target Reigns coming out of WM since there really isn't much else heel wise to do on SD.
Basically what I'm saying overall is that Smackdown sucks and has done a horrid job of building anything.

Don't mind Roman vs Goldberg, but want no part of Goldberg defeating the Fiend.

I will believe this when I see it. I respect Meltzer, but I think he was fed some bad info here just like with Seth Rollins' "rah rah" speech. Yeh,I believe he doesn't say anything is not told to him. That still doesn't mean it is truth. But I wouldnt put it past the WWE to have Berg squash The Fiend

I'm only picturing Goldberg, Reigns or Cena running around with the Fiend championship belt. That amuses me.

I think Naomi will be winning the title at Super ShowDown. It makes sense, after they got such good publicity for the first women’s match last time at Crown Jewel, to have a women’s title change hands this time (big platform, positive optics for the company) and Naomi would then be going into WrestleMania in her home-state as champion (they wanted her to go into WrestleMania 33 as champion- good publicity, easy media opportunities).
And Bayley has been a washout since turning heel unfortunately. Sasha/Bayley could still be a possibility if Naomi doesn’t win the title, but it’d need some good booking. I’m sure the match and video package would be great.

I suggested Reigns vs Goldberg for the title in another thread a few days ago. "Spear vs Spear". They're really scraping the barrel if they're resorting to stealing MY ideas! Sorry everyone.

Yet more reasons why I've only watched four Manias live since X-7. 25, 26, 28, & 30.
This is Wrestle-f***ing-Mania. When did two minute or less squash matches for top titles become the norm? Why are people hyped for old motherf***ers spamming two or three moves? This is a big reason why the WWE is in the state it's in.
Wrestlemanias used to be the (real) crown jewel of this company. Guys stepping it up on the biggest and brightest stage. Now it's like, "Ok, let's get a bunch of 40 and 50-something year olds to have quick matches." It's bullshit. They have a stacked roster of young people, and they want to put out Brock, Goldbeg, Cena, and Reigns front and center.
None of those guys should be in another Mania main event. And god help us if Undertaker wants back in. Or Triple H. Vince doesn't like using roman numerals, because it makes Mania feel old? Yeah, look at the f***ing card for it these days.

Try some other women for once like maybe Nikki cross, amber moon or hell even Dana.

I feel like giving Fiend the title so soon, even just having him in the world title picture so soon, was a mistake. He could have been in a Kane monster like role but with the world title there's a lot of additional internal pressures especially at Wrestlemania time to go for safer/part timeier options that detract from whatever story they're trying to tell with the Fiend.

I think the Bray should go over Goldberg at Blood Money and then feed Cena to him at Mania and win to keep making him the unstoppable monster that he is and then finally at Summerslam you get His match with Roman where the monster is finally taken down.
