Bad uncomfortable spot was bad and uncomfortable. Discuss.

I mean...you posted a thread about it?
But yeah, I can see what they were doing with it but...nah. If Hager's wife kicked him in the dick post-match, she'd still be a heel but a justified one considering.

I am wondering now if she will become what Elizabeth, Woman and Debra McMichael were in the Four Horsemen aka a female valet for the Inner Circle.

I didn't like the implied forced kissing aspect, but at least from what I saw, it looked like he just kind of smashed the side of his face against hers.

It was such an amazing PPV, with so many great matches, and moments, that made me feel so full of love for the product, that I forgot this dumb thing Dustin did in the first match.
Because I know no one wrote it for him, and there aren't 3 cuckold angles being run, and the owner doesnt force women to kiss his ass during "kayfabe" segments, it kind of didn't matter. If it gives anti-AEW marks something to hold onto, great. Since it's something Dustin has been doing since 1991, I kind of let it pass.

AEW and WWE are both in the wrong. Especially in today's environment, "Me too" movement and such. Wasn't the smartest thing to do then and especially now.

As I said in your other thread on the WWE board, I do think it was inappropriate for this spot to happen for the purpose of the face getting cheered for it. Whilst all parties agreed to it and knew it was coming, it only really works if it is the heel doing the kiss - like Flair at Mania 8 on Elizabeth - to be met with a barrage of blows by the Macho Man.
Wrestling at its heart is meant to be a morality tale, and it is uncomfortable for a face to be heavily cheered for something that is objectively inappropriate.
That said, it is just a show with people playing parts. Was no where near enough to spoil my enjoyment of such a great show and I quickly forgot about it.
I don’t believe in AEW v WWE debates - I will always watch both.

The Flair/Becky kiss happened at the Royal Rumble 2016, not Mania.
I have nothing else to add to this.

It was a shitty spot and I don't like it in any company but you walked into this in massively bad faith and even made a thread in WWE Current to double down on that bad faith and try to Say Something that I don't think is anywhere near as much about the spot as you want to portray it. There were complaints about it in the live thread, everyone at my viewing party was pretty put off by it, but it was the first match in a long and otherwise very good show; by the time I'd gotten through so many demanding, dramatic, and emotionally intense matches, I'd honestly forgotten this match even happened at all.
Also just to lay it all on the table here; I remember a bunch of people in the thread on the Flair/Lynch spot defending it/acting like it wasn't a big deal and everyone overreacting. That's also a moer active and heavily trafficked section people make threads in much more frequently.

I was shocked there wasn't already one. I figured someone else would be upset a a guy forcing himself on a woman like that, but I guess that only applies to you know other companies. You realize it’s fiction. It’s moving a narrative. Why would you be offended? I don’t understand this thought process. It’s not real life.

Hi, I was in the live thread, if you go and look I posted about this spot at the time.
I was looking forward to interesting discussion about it.
This thread eliminated that possibility from the first post.

Yeah that made me think about Flair/Becky as well last night, but to be fair to Flair at least he was a heel deliberately trying to piss Becky off in that match. Last night Dustin did it like this was 1984 Mid-South or something with a face kissing a devilish woman that kept interfering.

I was just making the point when WWE does stuff or an Indie company they get bashed(rightfully so). AEW does the same thing eh whatever man it was planned so yeah! What is that horse shit? All of it is an act. It still doesn't make it feel or look right! If people on here can't see it's the same as the Flair thing they're delusional. All actors yes, still wrong thing to do yes. Just say it. I explained why it offended me here I get what you said I don’t and will never understand the thought process. Is it a dumb spot maybe. Offensive. I don’t see it. Didn’t with Becky don’t now.

This thread is disingenuous in its motivation at best. I'll probably get banned by how is this not bait? I was sincere and your calling me out, but if I responded and say the wrong word or statement you can ban me. That f***ed up man.

Let's be above that. Got a problem being called on it? Then don't make obvious bait topics. Between how you framed this entire argument and the fact you even made the now deleted thread you put in the WWE board, I'mma tell you right now the next time you make a thread in either board trying to start a board war it'll be your last on FAN. Flat out. This isn't open for argument. That's not what we do on FAN. This WWE vs AEW fans thing is something we won't be pursuing.

Anyway this spot was gross, the fact it was a babyface moment is gross, and I hope the social media response here is something they're taking note of for the future.
