If some of the people at ringside were friends and family of wrestlers, it makes it hard for me to believe the idea that everyone just cumulatively all agreed not to wear a mask. All of them, completely unfraid of getting anything, taking no personal precautions. Nah, that sounds f***y to me. "We had an option and all chose not to" seems like damage control to absolve the company of what it did. Alvarez in his rant said that multiple people told him that they said "we don't want masks on our television. If you wanna wear a mask, don't show up." Dunn apparently said "you're not a fan if you're wearing a mask." No bullshit. He said that. Yeah I know, we've jut got conflicting reports right now. But within those conflict lies what to me seems like people close to the situation getting leaned on for the sake of their relatives in the company. They know they can't say they had people wearing masks, but they can say "We let them but nobody wanted to" and put all the blame on the people who aren't on WWE's payroll.

IMO, not mandating masks one way or another is just as bad as actively not letting people wear them. Especially as the masks are a preventative measure rather than a purely protective one. All it takes is one asymptomatic, untested person to cough without a mask and it could be disastrous for an entire group wearing masks.

They're doing it too? f***ing wrestling. Not sure how I stayed a fan so long. Yes, and people are going to defend them and yes they have done testing but they haven't done enough in my eyes My views from jump has been if you think you are doing enough, you clearly aren't. Take every precaution you can because you're playing with fire I'm honestly more concerned about Jericho's dumb cruise ship. Is that shit still happening? uhg

Like, just slap a WWE logo on some masks, give them to the "crowd" and then sell some on the website with some proceeds to virus relief. How hard is that? Michael Tarver can come up with a branded face mask and your multi-billion dollar company can't?

Me personally, nah I can't be stuck on cruiseship with a bunch of drunk wrestling fans and drunk Jericho wandering around but in fairness based upon pics posted this year it looks like a great time

Not to say this isn’t Jericho himself planning it and everyone else going along with it but if there are two things this pandemic has shown is a) many companies are bad at saving money for occasions like this and b) many companies also do what they can to open up regardless on if it makes sense or not.

And in fairness the 3rd cruise isn't until Feb 2021 so I can't blame them for still thinking ahead that far tho it is a crapshoot to know if it will still go on. They got until like October to figure that out

The thing with the Jericho cruise and such is that if there's a contract in, the cruise company is going to want to honour it and put in "good faith efforts" to hope it's possible. Even if they start to cautiously announce a date for it, unless things improve it could just as easily be canceled at show time. But actually canceling it right away and saying "Nope, not gonna happen" when the cruise company's on their asses would be breach of contract. So we'll see if within a couple months of it happening, it's still set to happen.

I was pretty upset at the idea that anyone would think that would be okay to do right now.

Yeah, the Jericho Cruise isn't until January or February 2021. That said, even if the vaccine was widely available by that point, I wouldn't want to be on a cruise anytime soon.

We know at this point these company statements are hollow and worthless. I trust Alvarez and Dave way more than I trust WWE at this point. I feel like I'd trust RAJAH over WWE statements at this point, hell at this point they really did feel like they said "We may or may not have told people to wear masks"!
