Seems like people are finding out their tests. MVP got a negative result so he's good. I don't even know why he's been around. Doesn't he have a heart condition? Yeah, he's got Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. Ironically, it was during a WWE-mandated wellness checkup that it was discovered.

PW Inside says this is their taping schedule for today: Longest taping in history but that's still only half as long as Wrestlemania 34

WWE has more than enough money to pay guys like him with pre-existing conditions to stay home. This is negligence.

They're doing it too? f***ing wrestling. Not sure how I stayed a fan so long. I know they have non-workers backstage, not sure if the audience is only workers and talent or if they mix in non-workers too. They do at least test everyone though. I think Conrad was at a show either last week or the week before.

Yeah, if the South Korean study can be proven on a wider scale, those with heart conditions along with conditions like diabetes are at the highest risk for developing serious or outright lethal complications.

How are there not several WWE Wrestlers not going up and flat out asking for their release at this point? It really does feel like a damn cult. Something, something, Union, something, something, "independent contractors".

People can say what they want about Jesse Ventura but, he was 100 percent correct on the absurdity of WWE's use of the term "independent contractors."

How are there not several WWE Wrestlers not going up and flat out asking for their release at this point? It really does feel like a damn cult. Gonna assume they can't collect unemployment if they ask for a release. Working for AEW or anyone else asap is not exactly a guarantee for everyone either. At this point, it would take numerous wrestlers getting COVID to garner this mass walkout result. Til then, I'm gonna guess the mentality is "we're stuck"..............or, sadly, "we love this Kool-Aid, yum." Oh boy, oh f***ing boy. At Orlando International Airport, 500 employees were tested for COVID, 260 of them came back positive. This isn't good for anybody, much less for WWE. MCO (the airport) clarified what the governor said - 500 employees tested in the last 3 days, 2 came back positive. The 260 number is total MCO cases so far, from mid-March to today - and only 130 of those were airport employees; the rest are people trace-connected to employees elsewhere...

PW Inside says this is their taping schedule for today: I seriously don't know how there hasn't been a huge uprising backstage between talent and management at this point. They potentially exposed them to COVID because they had no regulations about it because of their insane boss, DIDN'T TELL THEM ABOUT IT UP FRONT, and now they're just like "Ok now do a whole bunch of tapings chop chop!" How are there not several WWE Wrestlers not going up and flat out asking for their release at this point? It really does feel like a damn cult. [ It’s long for the production staff and the PC guys filling in the crowd, but the wrestlers are split up throughout the day. Raw guys will be two tapings and out, Smackdown 1 and out and NXT is at Full Sail only.

PW Inside says this is their taping schedule for today: I sincerely hope they're rotating who they have in the audience. Anyone that has to stand through all of that could probably get the WWE convicted of torture by the UN.

For an update on when WWE is going to substantively change their plans, we take you to Tony Schiavone on the 1/17/2001 episode of Thunder:

While COVID is absolutely something to be taken seriously - and that shouldn't really need saying at this point - unless you're sitting on a research paper that shows otherwise, this kind of hysteria can be pretty dangerous. There are almost zero groups of people where the overwhelming majority wouldn't survive coronavirus, certainly not 46-year-old athletes with relatively benign heart conditions. Also fwiw, reports at the time suggest he had surgery to get it fixed.

Yeah while I dont wsnt to turn this into a debate about the virus or have people think im underplaying it i agree with the point towards MVP. The big issue comes from how WWE seems to be disregarding the fears and safety precautions. In all honesty most WWE wrestlers probably would be okay. But they had some older people in the crowd and we do not know who the wrestlers came in contact with so the bigger issue was potential mass spreading. So in short the biggest issue is the disregard WWE seems to have for their employees more than anything

I would have been up in arms some weeks ago, but my place of work deemed as an essential and my colleagues and I have had brushes with confirmed cases of COVID.
Some isolate, and come back. Thankfully no one has been hospitalized or worse - life and work carries on.
I expect its the same for WWE. I daresay our wrestlers have healthier immune systems than I do, so really wouldn't worry too much about them - callous as it sounds.
