That more less is what I expected to hear. At the time it looked like two dudes drank too much of their own kool aid and pissed away their opportunities. Also, never forget:

Cass was the definition of average, but if Enzo didn't have his head up his ass and started listening to people on how to become a better wrestler he could've been the biggest star they had. One of the biggest wastes of potential i've seen in a while.

It is wild how they made such a huge splash in 2016 and in two years they, and all splashes of their influence, are just completely wiped from the company.
Like, imagine becoming a fan now or sometime in the next two years, randomly throwing on a WWE pay-per-view from this era and seeing how super over these two were and wondering "What happened to these guys? They MUST be over huge in some other promotion, right?"
Still really sucks how Simon Gotch/Vaudevillains took the heat for Enzo being solely responsible for concussing himself.

One of the biggest wastes of potential i've seen in a while. I remember seeing Cass in the fatal 4 way for the title vs Owens/Reigns/Rollins and thinking he actually looked like he belonged. He was never going to be a mega star, but he had the potential to be a solid, credible midcarder. The ACL thing happened at the worst possible time, and once he came back, he seemed to have his head somewhere else Enzo going to 205 live was awesome and he really found his stride. Then.....well.....you know Too bad both guys are complete tool bags.

Had the Hardyz not returned and Enzo and Cass won the titles that night, the pop probably would've been massive.

I remember watching them on Breaking Ground. Both seemed like good guys and I was happy for their success when they showed footage of Trips telling them they were being called up.

Then.....well.....you know Too bad both guys are complete tool bags. If I had to give one of the two a chance, I'd go with Cass for sure. His bagage isn't as heavy and most of his issues are probably alcohol and mental health related. He could get those issues in check and become a decent guy if he wants the help. Enzo is just not worth it.

Honestly? I think Cass’ ability on the mic is criminally undersold. He was also decent enough for his size that he could have worked as an occasional main eventer. He just didn’t have a strong head on his shoulders.

In all honesty, Cass could have been a Baron Corbin type and been successful for years. But it got to his head and he took a shit.
Enzo had so many self inflicted things going against him I'm fairly surprised he lasted as long as he did. He's the stereotype of "that which burns the hottest burns out the fastest". And that's ignoring getting into illegal shit he may or may not have done.

I was at NXT Takeover London and these two were the most over guys at the show. I myself have never been invested in a live match as much as I was during theirs. I'll never forget how deflated the arena got when they lost.

Does it count if both members turn into Jannetty? enzo is still currently lead jannetty out of the two Really? Didn't Cass like have a legit (and damn near dangerous) mental breakdown at an indy show late last year?

Cass had some natural charisma as a big guy face. And then he went up his own ass and next thing you know he's drugged up at a Jersey indie trying to pick a fight with Joey Janela.

I cannot fathom any young wrestler being given any advice by Arn Anderson and not taking it to heart. You'd have to have your head so firmly up your own ass for that to be a thing.

enzo is still currently lead jannetty out of the two Really? Didn't Cass like have a legit (and damn near dangerous) mental breakdown at an indy show late last year? enzo planned to get exposure and managed about 3 seconds of screen time on a ppv after he was fired by "invading (buying a ticket, wearing a disguise and getting booted out in seconds)" so he's still the jannettyiest jannetty of the two
