So the "Shows That Just Did What They Wanted" thread got me thinking on some of the worst television I've seen. But not just bad TV shows, a very special kind of bad TV show.
Pilots that go nowhere? A dime a dozen
One season flops? Hey, it happens.
Two seasons? Probably got a significant re-tool at some point to try to fix its issues. Can't blame them for trying.
But three or more seasons? That means that these shows some how, some way, found enough of an audience to sustain them for a significant length. How did that happen?
What are some of the worst TV shows that somehow lasted three or more seasons?
I'll start - Unhappily Ever After. This early WB Network sitcom is objectively one of the worst TV shows of its day, but I won't lie and say I didn't watch every episode of its five seasons on the air. And it should be perfectly obvious why. I'll give you a hint anyways, it wasn't for the Bunny.

According to Jim was a show that managed to last way longer than it had any right to, especially given that TV critics often asked "Do people even watch this?" I actually tuned into the series finale for bile fascination since they made it under the pretense that they knew people would only watch hoping Jim would die.

I remember stumbling across reruns of Yes, Dear on TBS or TNT on the break room TV during the very brief period of time I worked for Circuit City. I had never seen or heard of the show and had no idea what it was. When I got home I looked it up and was shocked to discover it had just wrapped up its six season run. I couldn't believe a show like that could've gone six seasons yet still stayed so completely under my radar.

The dudes was such a political ideologue that he made a show to jerk himself off about rugged individualism and it became the political equivalent of an "affirmative action hire." Can't make this shit up.

I am very disappointed in you for reminding me of that show and how they would do the same f***ing bit every time for flashback sequences. Seriously, f*** that show and f*** Greg Garcia.

“Hey, Dad…”
Australian 80s to 90s sitcom that went on forever… had a few cast changes… bad acting throughout, horrible jokes…
And it turned out the lead actor for most of the series was an abuser to other members of the cast. So the show has pretty much been scrubbed from history.

Two Broke Girls.
Someone said it wasn’t a comedy, but rather an experiment to see how long Kat Dennings’ breasts could keep a show on tv.

Just going by what I saw in a certain review series...how did Canadian sitcom "Hangin' In" last 7 seasons?
