Not exactly an official retirement declaration, but it would seem she's hanging it up for now:
Probably for the best. Started out pretty late in life, and she never really bounced back from her injury.

Like, putting everything aside about her ability, her political views etc, if I were fired during an agreed upon mental health break from the biggest wrestling company in the world, I wouldn’t exactly want to leap back into wrestling either. Still making f***ing jokes about hurting her opponents. Brilliant. Stay away, nobody wants you back anyway. Also that.

I do hope she at least gives us a shoot interview somewhere.

A few weeks ago she made a joke about Shayna breaking her arm and dragging her out of the wrestling business so that's proof that she's done with it. Her content over the past few weeks has mostly been about other stuff. Tbh, there's really nothing else for her to prove. She's 37, she was women's champion, she's not interested in it anymore, she's gotten worse over these past few years, yeah it's good she's done with it. Regarding where she is on the card, I read something that said Doudrop was either replacing her character or doing stuff that she was gonna do so yeah, Doudrop's in her spot now. Management's happy, Doudrop is happy, wrestlers are happy and Nia is happy.
It's probably one of the only situations out of anyone being let go that everybody's happy about it I can recall.

No loss to the wrestling world. I wish her well in whatever she chooses to do.

Independent of everything else, she seemed pretty damn immobile by the end and with the injuries she's had combined with her age, retirement might be the best option. I'm sure she can make it in another industry.

What sort of person thinks it's hilarious when they physically hurt people?

The problem with Nia Jax is that she is just way too old. In addition to her age, her talent is marginally passably adequate for her age, and she's a "joker" & "comedian" about injuries with issues of her own. Younger superior people have many years ahead of them with higher ceilings & can eclipse her in upside & potential. Best for WWE to cut their losses so Nia Jax can explore a new career.
She honestly can do well in the tech field or something else. I really mean that. There's lots of career options where there's way more than 100000+ possible companies to work for in that field (can do it up to 70), unlike pro wrestling where there's fractional choices (and you need to be young for that). There's also possible entrepreneurship with what she accrued.

Her knees were shot, so it's for the best that she retires.
Nia needs to stop joking about injuring other women, though. It sounds sociopathic.

Opponent Crippler...
I'd laugh too, but I don't want to encourage her to ever wrestle again.

With Nia in general, she felt like such a product of the WWE system that even if she wasn't older and with nagging injuries, it would be an adjustment to wrestle anywhere else anyway. Given her controversial history with keeping others safe, and her own mental health struggles while part of the business, her stepping away (perhaps for good) seems like the best outcome for everybody.

Haha it's funny because she's was so bad at what she did that she actively shortened the careers of others and that amuses her her haha!
No one has ever been so amused about being a failure.

I’m glad that despite her recent career setbacks, she can still find some humour in injuring her coworkers…

I wish her all the best in whatever she chooses to do... but continuing to make light of stuff like ending Kairi Sane's in-ring WWE career (and potentially her career in general depending) makes it extremely hard to take any sympathy on her. The wrestling world doesn't need mentalities like that.

And nothing of value was lost.
