He deserves so much better. Them killing him off for a Mansoor pop at the last Blood Money show was so sad.

Mustafa Ali could've been a star if WWE wanted him to be one. He's got everything you need in spades. Instead they had him be the *only* bright spot in Retribution and a throwaway tag-team with Mansoor that also should've done better than it did but they had to break up because of a match that just had to happen at the then-upcoming Saudi show.

I hope they release him. He's one of those guys who thinks he is way better than he is and he is always outraged at something. "Being outraged" sounds like codespeak for under represented minority saying something that may ruffle the "norm" of the establishment EDIT: And from what I read, it sounded like Vince may have gone down that slippery slope where Ali has been adamant of not portraying

He deserves so much better. Them killing him off for a Mansoor pop at the last Blood Money show was so sad. I remember being on the phone to my brother who was checking Twitter during that show and when he told me the guy who kicked Ali was the Saudi Olympian who got himself DQ’d for knocking out the Iranian, I don’t think I laughed harder at anything else in 2021.

Bets on whether him, Ricochet, Dijak, or Alexander are gone first?

I am genuinely shocked it took this long for him to do so
I really hope he gets it and gets the hell out of there. The company never appreciated him and never gave him his just due. Retribution was DOA, and after that it was just dropped ball after dropped ball... you could argue even before that.
Just another indictment on WWE booking and the failure to make new stars even when it should be so simple. He will thrive anywhere else he goes.

They struggle to build new babyfaces. Then one natural one practically falls into their lap. And they avoid it like the plague because he ain’t one of Vince’s “chosen ones.”

A less than sterling reputation for portrayals of minorities (and that's the stuff we see), you've probably got to ruffle norms if you're anyone other than a white man wrestling for them.

I hope it works out for him. He's got amazing potential, he just needs a promotion that's willing to let him live up to that potential.

He's so talented and has got such a natural face story to him. I'd love to see him in Impact or AEW. Hell, GCW or PWG would probably give him a bigger shine than WWE these days, which is sad to say.

How long until WWE insiders be like... "Ali refused to continue with a gimmick that says fighting against racism to be a bad thing , he had attitude issues" Ever since Retribution WWE has tried to use Ali as an "evil activist" role which i'm sure he didnt take kindly to, not saying it is all the issues but couldnt have helped

Smart decision. He's being wasted and he's too creative to not be used better in other companies.
I guess this will be the one where we'll see if those "hey they let (insert name go because of budget cuts" comments are accurate. If Ali won't be let go then it'll be lip service. I get a feeling he'll be let go though. I mean, might as well.

The only thing that sucks about this is that Ali would always donate the check he got from the blood money shows to charity or some other place where it could actually do some good in the world.

Ali was a complete swing and miss from WWE. Dude is talented and almost made Retribution work. Dude pretty much did all the legwork on social media for Retribution to make any kind of sense... I don't think any of it made television but dude tried his hardest on that front.

The only slightly surprising thing here is that Mace & T-Bar will likely have lasted longer than Ali in WWE (though given how WWE have been releasing people, possibly not that much longer). At this rate, Dijak and Dio might be in the next set of cuts. At this rate, anyone who vanishes for weeks are likely done. T-Bar hasn't vanished at all. He's been on Main Event constantly having great matches. Case in point: his match with Tommaso Ciampa on this week's episode.
