I was watching something recently where the crowd at certain points seemed to be distracted by stuff going on elsewhere in the crowd, or some were chanting stuff unrelated to the match/wrestling. Now it wasn't the worst by any means, but made me wonder what the ARE the worst examples of crowds at wrestling shows for whatever reason, either infamous ones from history or ones you attended yourself.
Don't really know of any myself except like Adrian Adonis in the 80s getting homophobic abuse from the Boston Garden (and I'm sure elsewhere but that's where I saw of it) but that was probably par for the course then.
I have a weird mind that gets obsessed researching things like football hooligans or riots at concerts so I guess this all falls into that category!

Watch ECW One Night Stand 2006. That was a toxic crowd.

Where was the crowd that was chanting something like "YOU SUCK DICK" to the Bellas?

Where was the crowd that was chanting something like "YOU SUCK DICK" to the Bellas? It was worse; it was a Bellas vs. Naomi and Nattie match where the chants were "You suck Cena/Bryan/Uso/Tyson". It was the night after Wrestlemania 31 and it was f***ing humiliating to witness as a wrestling fan. Similarly, an NXT house show once had someone chanting "happy ending" during a Kairi match. Also vile.

Also vile. The women's tag match was disgusting. Not the match itself, but the crowd's rejection. If I remember correctly, the crowd was toxic most of the night.

Watch ECW One Night Stand 2006. That was a toxic crowd. Alexa, play “Don’t Know What You Got Till It’s Gone.” I realize how bad that crowd wanted RVD to win the big one, but Cena played them like a fiddle.

Man that 2006 ONS crowd was so cringe in retrospect. Literally every other chant basically boiled down to "lol ur ghey!"

Then there was chant #2, "LOL women are whores, except the babyfaces who we want to see topless!" They also had Those Moments: didn't they chant "Power Rangers" at the Luchadors? I remember one instance where they yelled random A-A wrestler names at 2 Cold Scorpio too.

Did it happen more than once?

A lot of GCW crowds these days are super gaterkeeper-y and cringeworthy. Oh yeah I can say this about a lot of indy fans. Some deeper than just affecting the show.

I do remember one of the Rey/Psicosis matches having a fan with a "Go go Power Rangers" sign.

PWG crowds graduating to helping injure the wrestlers this year is a pretty impressive milestone in being the worst you can be.
