Whenever toxic crowds are brought up, I'm instantly reminded of the idiots that chanted "Pearl Harbor" and "Happy Ending" at Kairi Sane.

A part of me is still curious to see what would have been had Cena successfully retained that night at ONS 2.

On the subject of One night stand 2. That was the show where I converted into a Cena fan. I remember the moment too. That black dude wiping his ass with Cena’s shirt and flipping the double bird while screaming f*** you. I had this moment where I was like “Yo this grown ass man is that mad about this shit? Couldn’t be me.” For a while I was in a “okay, he’s not as polished as Kurt and Shawn but I’m giving him a chance” mode with Cena. After that it felt like he was far more crowd savvy and professional than someone should have on his experience level then. I changed my tune on him when I realized most of my favorite matches from around 2005-2011 were Cena matches. He may not have the workrate of someone like Bryan Danielson, but he's shown that he can easily rise to the level of his opponent, whoever that may be.

Watch ECW One Night Stand 2006. That was a toxic crowd. I remember JBL’s comments during that show silencing an anti gay chant from that crowd. Unfortunately, JBL’s comments were pretty controversial as well.

The mid south territory crowds were known to be an eager bunch and it wasn’t a safe environment for heels. Jim Cornette has recounted some amazing stories from Louisiana in particular from Houma and lake Charles seem to have been ones with fans who made it a challenge to try and beat the ever loving shit out of the heels both inside and outside the building.
