PWG crowds graduating to helping injure the wrestlers this year is a pretty impressive milestone in being the worst you can be. Whoa, what?! Lio Rush dislocated his shoulder at BOLA last night cause some dumbasses were hurling drinks (and ice!!) in to the ring @ Buddy Matthews and inevitably one of them slipped. Here's Lio's update about it.

A lot of GCW crowds these days are super gaterkeeper-y and cringeworthy. I felt so bad for Cezar Bononi at that GCW show where the crowd randomly decided they f***ing hated him for no reason.

90's Attitude Era crowds were f***ing disgusting in retrospect.
For more recent crowds, I remember hearing some pretty nasty things about the Long Island crowd for Dynamite a couple of months back.

Look up any old timer talking about Puerto Rico and they all say it was crazy, many missiles thrown, fighting through the crowd to get to the back, fans waiting for them after the show.
Even in more recent times Del Rio got attacked there.

I realize how bad that crowd wanted RVD to win the big one, but Cena played them like a fiddle. Oh Cena was fantastic that night. Totally played up his role, throwing his shirt back into the crowd, holding up that anti-Cena sign in front of RVD during the crowd brawl, etc. It's part of the reason I was sad he didn't go heel, I thought he'd be great at it. Orton, however, had no idea how to handle it. He got really hot under the collar at the chants at one point.

The Sturgis crowds at Hog/Road Wild weren't exactly the most ideal audience for a wrestling show.
It's not a good sign when Harlem Heat appear to get the most heat, and it's not because they're the most effective heels.

That one WWF house show in 1997 that ended with a riot.

I know ECW has been mentioned, but a specific incident came to mind.
Tony Mamaluke did a twisting dive to the outside. His body went into the crowd and the side of his head bounced of the security rail.
I thought he'd broken his neck.
You probably know what came next.

Corpus Christi has a reputation for being very quiet, but I think that's not entirely fair. They made plenty of noise for AEW, and they booed the shit out of Carmella and James Ellsworth cheating to beat Delilah Doom because she does/has done a lot of local wrestling. Wonder if it's the arenas or what that make it seem quieter.
LA sometimes gets the reputation, too, though I also wonder if some of that is just that it's such a saturated market for entertainment that is' harder to impress them.

Watch ECW One Night Stand 2006. That was a toxic crowd. I haven't seen this in probably ten years, sad since it was probably my favorite pov ever

That time CZW tried to have a moment of silence for Eddie Guerrero after his passing, and one guy audibly yelled "F*** THAT" and he basically almost got decimated by the entire rest of the crowd and the CZW locker room as security hauled his ass out probably saving him in the end.

That one WWF house show in 1997 that ended with a riot. What's the story behind that? from what I Remember, It was in Arkansas for some reason the crowd though it was Raw, when it was just a house show cause Raw was still taped like a week before. so they started throwing garbage and stuff into the ring. They were warned the main event would be cancelled if they kept it up. they presented Danny Hodge an award and the crowd booed the ceremony. there were mostly short matches, I think Rock and Taker had a quick one... DX started making their way to the ring for the main event and the audience threw garbage at them hitting Shawn who got on the mic saying they just lost their main event, and walked to the back refusing to wrestle. and then fights started breaking out in the crowds and then spilled out against the understaffed security team who eventually called the cops who showed up with full on tear gas and stuff to get them to calm down. from reports things thrown were papers, chairs, empty liquor bottles.

You know a crowd's bad when 1997 HBK has the moral highground.

That does sound bad alright. And when you have 90's Shawn Michaels sounding reasonable, you know you're a piece of work.
