It's objectively an above average wrestling show for sure, it's now just such a crowded space and it becomes a bit of a bummer when you eventually do tune in and don't get to see one of your favorites. Hot take: I think Dynamite's problem for me is that I do see my faves every week. I like a lot of the people on there right now but honestly, they should have some of those people show up on the main show to build their cred. And yeah, I understand it's a TV show and you need to have names but do what you did a couple of years ago and have Preston Vance and Max Caster have a match. Have Joey Janela take on, I don't know, Matt Sydal so Janela's valet can appear on TV and talk about Dark. Give Sonny Kiss a match here and there. The names can still do promos and the like but the issue with WWE is that they have a deep roster and they only use so many of them even after all the firings, you might as well do the inverse. Build some names and get them exposure so that if some of the bigger guys are out with injury, you have names people know, even midcard ones. I might be just crying out to the wind but that's just me. To that last line: nah, I'm fully with you on this. AEW has a really noticeable problem where it feels like certain stars are slotted to show up as often as possible, even when they don't have anything to do. MJF's gotta have a promo that keeps his current feud going, even if it adds nothing. Punk's gotta have a match, even if it's with a low-carder. It often feels like something is booked for a small list of names just to guarantee that they're on the show, then the rest is filled in afterward.

Yeah and like, I can accept a scenario where it makes sense like Bryan taking out all the members of the Dark Order because that made sense in storyline but you could space out the Punk matches with, say, a match where someone beforehand says they want to challenge for the TNT title or Jamie Hayter having a singles match and teasing some of the Britt Baker tension, stuff like that. Like, Rampage seems to be a better show for that and it's appreciated but ratings aren't going to drop below 300k if Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss renew their Dark rivalry on Dynamite. It just won't happen at this point. And if the problem is the crowd wanting to see their faves, put them on Dark Elevation. It might even get some YouTube views if The Superkliq or The Group Formerly Known as Undisputed Era take on Dante Martin, Matt Sydal and Lee Moriarty for example. I'm just throwing that off my head and I can appreciate that shit is hard but they're in a better place now. Might as well use what you have.

So, they’re basically having the WWE problem of booking for their favorites and filling in the gaps after the fact? It will never be as egregious as Charlotte taking up the first 40 minutes of a 2018 Smackdown to beat up Peyton and Billie. But it is noticeable. I watch Dynamite each week because they hype one or two big segments that I’m interested in. I wish they’d show that kind of care to the whole card. I think they would be in a stronger position if they did.

I think they can do it on occasions (Velvet/Hirsh was a good change of pace for example) but it’s more for me that I do care for a lot of people not on the show all the time and Rampage is on too early in the morning for me to watch so, like…throw me a bone every so often. Have Silver and Reynolds take on Bear Country or something, I don’t know.

The match quality has been amazing but big storylines for the ppv are nearly all tease at the moment.
Darby alone has teased a fued with Andrade, challenging for the tag titles and going for the TNT title.
Really just need the Elite/UE/Hangman storyline to kick off.
