Great. Now who's gonna tell some guy that he's not the father?

The best thing about the show is when some ho says that one of two guys are the father of her spawn, only to find out that neither of them are the father.
The ho then runs off the stage while the guys, who previously may not have even known each other, high five.

If you ran track and field in High School or College, you damn sure had a job on the Maury show as a camera man cause those women could not escape them

I saw one episode where this hood rat slept with at least a dozen guys at a party, and none of them were the father of her kid,

Now parents won’t know where to go when their teen daughters dress too sexy, or wanna have a baby. No more boot camp for out of control 12-year-olds, either.

Makes some sense. While it seems he was raring to keep going, the guy is 83 so it's more a case of how much longer he has.

It turns out the father was the friends we made along the way.

This makes me weirdly sad.
I worked in a coffee shop that I absolutely loved. It had previously been where me and all my friends hung out, and where I basically launched my music career. Eventually, it was bought by one of my best friend's mom (my friend had worked there for years), and I became the shop manager. All told, I spent almost a decade of my life in that place, from 16 until about 25, 3 of those as an actual employee.
We never had cable in there, leaving us just what we could pick up with the antenna on one small TV in the back of the shop. It was much more for the employees to pass the downtime between morning and lunch than for customers.
Our viewing choices were basically garbage daytime TV like Maury and Steve Wilkos, or soap operas. So we wound up watching a LOT of garbage TV, cheering and jeering along with the studio audience, and just generally having a great time with it.
Eventually, the place succumbed to a 1-2 punch of the abysmal economy of 2009, and my friend's mom just not having a good head for running a business. And just like that, my home away from home of 10 years was gone forever. The building has had a few different businesses in it since, but recently got remodeled and was still empty last I knew. My friend's mom passed away from cancer in 2020. She was a great boss and even better woman. I miss her everyday.
Working there was one of the best times of my life, and I can never see an episode of Maury, Jerry, or Steve without instantly being transported back to my old stomping grounds with my old friends in my head. These days that feeling is admittedly bittersweet, given how many of those people I have lost over the years. But that fleeting feeling of being there again is always nice, if only for a moment.
Farewell to a daytime TV king. Thanks for the memories, Maury.

My favorites were the women who kept coming back again and again to find out who the father was and the guy she’d drag out was never the father each time.

Used to be something to watch when I got home after school. I used to find it hilarious because it was so crazy.
