Whilst I'm still gutted we don't get Punk vs Tanahashi, Moxley vs Tanahashi is a match that's been brewing for a long time. The likely triple threat IWGP match will be good. Looking forward to FTR vs Cobb/O-Khan simple to see what Cobb and our savior can do with a good tag team. Looks like we're getting Danielson vs Sabre and inject that into my veins.
There's still plenty of room for other great matches to, hopefully not a bunch of multiman tags to get people on the card

I love that Tanahashi is in the main event. I know he’s not been THE top guy for a few years now but I’m happy that he gets a big spotlight like this outside of Japan. As corny as it sounds it’s like Tana walked so Okada could run. Not many would care about NJPW supershows today if he didn’t carry the company on his back and bring it back to prominence.
I’m still hoping for the shock of all shocks and for him to win too. His last couple of world titles I’ve felt could be his final one but as long as he’s still this good and so damn likeable I’m always going to want to see him win.

Tanahashi vs. Mox is a very fitting main event. Tanahashi is the heart of NJPW and made the promotion what it is today and there's a convincing argument that Mox has been the same with AEW, considering how he held the ship down during the pandemic era and his overall arc.

The chances of Tanahashi are so slim (and imagine the hissy fit some would have) but I'd LOVE it. Just Tanahashi arriving as a legend and carrying the belt, defending against all comers, until Punk returns. So sexy I'd marry it.

Rumors are swelling that Okada might not be at Forbidden Door due to his wife who's about to have a baby.

The first Forbidden Door being without Okada would make it feel like an impotent show. I get it, but man, it would really pull the rug out from everything.

Would not be at all surprised if FTR somehow come out of this PPV with the tag belts, O'Khan and Cobb are in the G1 so those belts wouldn't be defended until August anyway..add in the Young Bucks wrestling for the AEW straps and I think you may see a build of FTR vs the Bucks for basically all the gold.

AEW And New Japan’s first crossover show without Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada is something.

AEW And New Japan’s first crossover show without Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada is something. It would be very sad. But it would give the second show a huge selling point if they both appeared on that one.

AEW And New Japan’s first crossover show without Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada is something. Barring Kenny returning and doing something, it would mean that if this is a yearly event, there's still something to hook fans for it.

Where are the rumors coming from that Okada won't be there?

Where are the rumors coming from that Okada won't be there? Someone brought up he has a kid due in August That's it, there's no actual confirmation that Okada won't be at the show.

I'm still not crazy about the idea of a triple threat even without Okada.
I'd go Jay vs Hangman and Cole vs Okada.

I'm still not crazy about the idea of a triple threat even without Okada. I'd go Jay vs Hangman and Cole vs Okada. This is...worse. Hangman/Okada is the draw and what people want to see if Okada is there.

Man... Ambrose sucks. I hope he loses. Like... a full on Burial loss.
He was SO MUCH BETTER in WWE. In AEW he comes across as some one trying really hard to be Stone Cold... and failing. I'm a fan.. But not of this run.

But not of this run. Could not be on a more separate wavelength, if you thought the end of his WWE run was actually much better than this then... idk what to tell you, Moxley himself would disagree with you. He's not trying to be Stone Cold at all and idk where that even comes from. You can be a tough brawler in wrestling and not be Stone Cold, and he's come off like the companies ace more often than not so... it's working
