Just finished episode 3 -- Viper is a bit useless isn't he? lol So--most likely to make a transition to pro-wrestling the way Nick Aldis and Mason Ryan did? Nitro stands out for me. Legend has his character down. I think quite a few could give it a go, Nitro is up there. Sabre on the female side, another one who has mannerisms down, somehow she does a sexy walk standing still, and last weekend got a new dimension to her character. Sabre was on a guest on the Restless Natives podcast recently and has quite the backstory. She also bigged up Legend, saying that this is what he was born to do. You can tell he’s having fun being a tweener.

Sabre's hamstring went pop during The Edge this week, ref ended up giving the full ten points to the contender because she couldn't go on.
Seems The Edge is also a game where shoes can come off...

Sad that both of my favourites in the semis had to pull out due to injury, but it's the risk competitors take I guess. I'm on Team Wes for the final, he's pretty charming.

According to The Mirror, the show will be back for a second series And rightly so! It seemed to be very well received and barely strayed from the original format. Nothing against him, but Barney Walsh was the weakest link in the series, so maybe next year there can be a different presenter/s.

I can't believe he can have so little chemistry with his dad. Bradley wasn't great either, but he was entertaining enough when he was off script doing the interviews. Ideally, I'd see both replaced. And do the tried and tested male and female format.

In their defence they were given a bad script to read when linking the games, so it’s not entirely on them. I was a bit surprised that there wasn’t the male/female presenter format that you mentioned. It’s not as if it’s not been done before, eh?

Bradley and Barney need to work on their banter, maybe have Barney take a few improv or acting classes so the back and forth doesn't seem quite so forced.

But they have zero chemistry with each other. Bradley makes one of his shit jokes and Barney just seems stuck on what to say. It's like they barely know each other. Honestly, they should have told Bradley to sling his hook if he insisted on his useless son featuring. Nobody is tuning in for Bradley Walsh, they could put any decent presenter there and achieve the same thing. The pair actually detract from the show.

wonder how the gladiators would fare if they competed against themselves?
and would a change of format work, with human ordinary competitors going against the superpeople in EACH event
also GO TEAM DYNO-MITEY!

To be fair I did often wind up forwarding through most of the pre and post game links. It was a bit painful.

Just please don't make it Holly or Allyson Hammond for the female.

If they go as a pair, I'd bring Ian Wright back, now he's had a few more years presenting under his belt. He's a great character, and it'd be good to have someone with a sports background there.
Not sure who I'd bring on as the female one, maybe Alex Scott, running through who's around in my head I don't know who'd fit the right vibe.

Ever since the gameshow was a thing (90s or this one) I have always wanted to see all the gladiators take on the eliminator final event, just to see who is the best.

If Comet can't return for the next season, why not give her a tryout as a broadcaster or interviewer like Nitro in the American Gladiators days?

Ever since the gameshow was a thing (90s or this one) I have always wanted to see all the gladiators take on the eliminator final event, just to see who is the best. They did that on the last episode of the first run. I can see why they don't as you'd have it undermine the superhuman image but it'd be fun.
