Stole this from another site which looks pretty fun
Basically I am starting from Sept 1995 , the month WCW Nitro debuted. What I am going to do is post the ppv card for WCW and WWF for each month and YOU decide what PPV YOU would have watched if you could only have watched one.THIS IS NOT WHAT THE BEST PPV WAS BUT WHAT PPV YOU WOULD HAVE PICKED BY LOOKING AT THE CARD
You just mention what one, and why and maybe it'll lead to some discussions
Starting off
WCW FALL BRAWL 1995 from the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
Card 1)Johnny B Badd vs Brian Pillman 2)Craig Pittman vs Cobra 3)Diamond Dallas Page (with The Diamond Doll and Max Muscle) vsThe Renegade (c) 4)Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) (with Sister Sherri) vs Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater (c) (with Col. Robert Parker) 5) Arn Anderson defeated Ric Flair 6)Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Lex Luger and Sting (with Jimmy Hart) vsThe Dungeon of Doom (Kamala, The Zodiac, The Shark and Meng) (with The Taskmaster) WAR GAMES
WWF IN YOUR HOUSE 1995 at the Saginaw Civic Center in Saginaw, Michigan.
Card 1) Savio Vega vs Waylon Mercy 2)The British Bulldog vs Bam Bam Bigelow 3)Dean Douglas (with Bob Backlund) vs Razor Ramon 4)Bret Hart vs Jean-Pierre Lafitte via submission 5)Diesel (WWF) and Shawn Michaels (WWF Intercontinental) vs The British Bulldog and Yokozuna (WWF Tag Team) (with Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji)
Looking at this I would have taken the WWF PPV, I would be intrigued by the tag match and I secretly like the Bulldog/Bam Bam matchup. WCW card was weak to me. DDP hadn't broken through yet but I would have found WAR GAMES interesting. Arn vs Flair would have gained interest as well
What one would YOU pick

Interesting thread idea.
Looking at the cards I'd probably choose Fall Brawl. Their opposition might be weak but that's an all-star babyface team for the war games match and Flair v Arn is an interesting/rare match.
Interestingly the 3 guys Hogan is teaming with are the 3 guys on team WCW when Hogan goes heel a year later at BATB.

Both those shows sound like s***, but the WCW one slightly edges it out.
Even if technically The Heat vs Bunk and Slater match was already done before at G.A.B. that year.

Seeing this thread I thought outside of a couple fall brawls and world war 3s (am I the only one that liked those?) bash at the beach 96, starrccade 97, and Mayhem. I would normally be choosing WWE show.
Nitro was off to a hot start and the Luger / Sting friends or foes relationship is one of my favorite things going at the time.
Fall Brawl. IYH would still take about another year to matter.

I was going to do something similar for my site, and I may still do so. In this example, WWF looks better on a paper, but if I had to choose... I'm going with Fall Brawl. Badd/Pillman, Flair/Anderson and War Games would catch my eye. Now, I know War Games is comically bad, but I'm a sucker for those matches. Plus, taking into account that Luger had just arrived, I think I'd be more inclined to know what he does on the show.

Both of these cards are awful. Good gawd.
I'm going back and forth.
Badd vs. Pillman and Bulldog vs. Bigelow are the only matches on either of them that would look remotely interesting.
I didn't give two shits about Arn vs. Flair. That War Games is an absolute atrocity. They're charging me to watch Cobra vs. Pittman? Fuuuuuuuuug.
Savio Vega? Never liked a single thing he ever did. Dean Douglas and Jean Pierre Lafitte are not even slightly interesting. I'm not sure I'd even watch Raw for that tag match.
I'm going with Fall Brawl. It's a boring lineup, but unlike IYH, it looks like there is at least potential for SOMETHING interesting to happen. The War Games match promises spectacle if nothing else.
So yeah, Fall Brawl.

I got both shows back in 95 but Fall Brawl was the one I was most interested in. WCW felt way hotter with nitro starting. I was intrigued by Luger in wargames & Flair vs Arn.

Fall brawl by a mile. I was still a young hogan fan and diesel, Shawn and razor were the reason I lost most of my interest in wwf. I didn't even know they were a backstage group at the time I just didn't like any of them.
Now though Nash is one of the coolest guys to be in the business

Brutal cards, but I'd be going to Fall Brawl for Flair-Andersen alone.

Not really. Even kid me figured there's gonna be some bs. Plus it was face 90s Shawn. Even if no other wrestling was on I usually changed the channel.

Isn't that the WWF In Your House where did they bait and switch with all the belt on the line and Owen took the fall, so the tag belts when back Cornette and Mr. Fuji?

Fall Brawl because that WWF show was the bait and switch I ever fell for

For these 2 shows, I would pick Fall Brawl. Even if the main event was crappy, I wanted to see Luger and Hogan team up for the first time and Arn vs. Flair intrigued me even if it meant nothing a month later.

In Your House 3. I love this show, and I don't care who knows it.
