Bret vs. Diesel looked promising. I did have interest in the wild card / strange bedfellows match.
But a SIXTY man battleroyal and a Sting / Flair match?
I'm going with WWIII for sure.

Are we make believing that the PPV'S are the same price?
The earlier In Your House Events were a lot cheaper up until Ground Zero, I believe?
Starcade 95 was The World Series Of Wrestling, still an interesting battle against In Your House V (I think lol)

World War 3 for me. 60 man battle Royal. Big Cutie Suzuki fan and matches 4-6 would have sold me on it.
WWF was closer this time, but still WCW for me.

Survivor Series, Bret vs Diesel is a matchup that honestly tended to work quite well, they had pretty solid chemistry due to Bret seeing Diesel and thinking, "What are his strengths, and what can we do with that?", and Nash putting his working boots on and keeping up with him.
World War 3 was always a clusterf***. Even if the undercard's better, I am siding with the stronger main event.

The 3 ring battle royal alone would have made me go with WCW. Plus it has a better looking undercard.
Seeing Bret win the title (I think it would have been quite predictable that was going to happen, Diesel's reign had clearly run its course) and the wildcard match would be interesting but the rest of the SS card looks rough. That opening elimination match looks jobberific and the Darkside/Royals one also looks terrible on paper.

I really liked both PPV's in November of 1995 as WWF started to turn things around, but I pick World War 3.
Badd/DDP, Sting/Flair, the NJPW Women's tag match were my favorites and I was interested in seeing who would become the new World Champion.

Survivor Series that month. Bret was going for the title again and a bunch of undercard guys in what's pretty much a regular battle royale doesn't sell me.

November ends with a WCW 7-6 win!
Now on to December 1995
WCW STARRCADE 95: World Cup of Wrestling
Announced card 1)Jushin Thunder Liger (with Sonny Onoo) vs Chris Benoit 2)Koji Kanemoto (with Sonny Onoo) vs Alex Wright 3)Lex Luger (with Jimmy Hart) vs Masahiro Chono (with Sonny Onoo) 4)Johnny B. Badd (with The Diamond Doll) vs Masa Saito (with Sonny Onoo) 5)Shinjiro Otani (with Sonny Onoo) vs Eddie Guerrero 6)Randy Savage vs Hiroyoshi Tenzan (with Sonny Onoo) 7)Sting vs Kensuke Sasaki (with Sonny Onoo) 8) Ric Flair vs Sting vs Lex Luger Triple threat match for a WCW World Heavyweight Championship match 9)Randy Savage(C) vs winner of Flair vs STing vs Luger for WCW Title
WWF IN YOUR HOUSE 5: SEASONS BEATINGS 1)Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty vs The 1-2-3 Kid and Sycho Sid (with Ted DiBiase) 2)Ahmed Johnson vs Dean Douglas (who was replaced by Buddy Landel) 3)Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Henry O. Godwinn Arkansas Hog Pen match with Hillbilly Jim as special guest referee 4)Owen Hart (with Jim Cornette) vs Diesel 5)The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) vs King Mabel (with Sir Mo) in a casket match 6) Bret Hart (c) vs The British Bulldog (with Diana Smith and Jim Cornette) Singles match for the WWF Championship
Man this one is tough. The WCW vs NJPW wouldn't appeal to me much but it would have been interesting to see. i do like the 3 way match for a shot at the WCW title On WWF side, the hogpen match would have amused me so I would have liked to see that. The title match wouldn't have interested me. I like Bret and Davy Boy and they had a FANTASTIC match at 92 Summesrlam, but it's only been 1 month since Bret won the title, can't imagine they'd take it off him that quick
SO I will go WCW

I'd go with In Your House largely based on the assumption that Bret Vs. Bulldog would be another classic.

I'll have to go WCW again. WWF might have something that looks interesting (Bret/Bulldog) but WCW are just putting out the overall more interesting looking cards for me.
And I see that WCW didn't have a PPV in January 1996. That would have almost certainly been my first WWF vote so far too because the Royal Rumble is usually the match/PPV I look forward to most each year.

I'm breaking my streak and going with WWF IYH this time.
In 1995, I didn't know any of those Japanese wrestlers, aside from Liger, so while in 2022 I would pick StarrCade, in 1996 I just wouldn't be able to work up any excitement about those matches. Plus, I had stopped buying Flair as a serious World title contender after his feud with Hogan, so seeing him around the title was boring, and Flair vs. Sting for like the millionth time was even more boring. I'm curious what WCW was thinking here, and why they thought that a lot of unknown Japanese talent was going to sell their biggest PPV of the year.
IYH is not a great looking show, and back to back Ahmed vs. Douglas and HHH vs. Godwinn is worse than anything on Starrcade, but I think I was probably much more excited about tuning in Raw the next day to see what happened at IYH than I would have cared about the results of Starrcade.

I’d go with WCW because Japanese wrestling was new and exotic to me at the time and I couldn’t get enough of those WCW/NJPW mashups

I went with Starrcade over IYH as WCW did a great job of showcasing the NJPW talent at that time and also the main event with Flair winning the title back.
The IYH show only had Bret vs. Bulldog going for it, the rest of it was forgettable IMO.

IYH for me, rematch of Bret and Bulldog plus feuds were being concluded.
Starcade seemed like a throwaway show plus the main event looked convoluted.
