From FIghtful Select:
Lady Frost asked for her release from IMPACT Wrestling two months ago, but it hasn't been granted as of yet. As of now, it doesn't look like it's going to be.
IMPACT sources initially confirmed to Fightful that Lady Frost's release has not been provided. She's not been used, and as a result, she's not been paid, per the terms of her deal.
As opposed to a full-time, salaried contract, Frost is on an exclusive paid-per-appearance deal with IMPACT, and only gets paid whenever she's used. This was the same kind of deal that both Acey Romero and Larry D were on last year when they asked for their IMPACT Wrestling releases.
Lady Frost has not been at recent IMPACT Wrestling tapings, and there are no creative plans for her at this moment. We've been told that she's made it clear via numerous avenues that she wishes to be released, and requested that release directly to Anthem's President and CEO Leonard Asper.
We're told that Frost needed to schedule a medical procedure earlier this year and had informed IMPACT management of such and that she'd be sidelined. Despite this, Frost was booked for the Dallas tapings in April without hotel or flight accommodations from the company and ended up paying out of pocket. After that, Frost made IMPACT management aware of her need for the aforementioned procedure after appearing at those tapings. Frost had said she was left in the dark about her status while she was sidelined, and was told she wouldn't be used in the immediate future.
There are also issues raised as far as how much Frost is paid, compared to the costs of performing at the tapings. There were also other reimbursements for things like blood work that she says were not provided, though they were supposed to be. One note was that one meal is generally provided during a 12 hour work day during tapings. There are also other unpaid travel accommodations that Frost said effectively was costing her money to work for the tapings, for a company she felt doesn't value her health.
When Frost asked for her release, she was asked if she wanted to sit out the duration of her contract, which would leave her unpaid for over two years.

"You guys loved the TNA nostalgic stuff we did for Slammiversary this year, so how about we bring back some more true classic TNA!??!?!"

There's been a lot of people coming in and out of Impact lately that make me wonder what is going on there and if things are OK, TBH.

She shows up with a halfway decent lawyer and she’ll get her release in like 10 minutes. This is some vintage TNA BS.

They might be having a lot of talent sign NDAs so their bad stuff doesnt get leaked like the other companies.
The Frost thing seems worse than the Kross/Scarlett saga, Is Impact even that cheap that they cant afford hotdogs or Pizza for their talent?

There's been a lot of people coming in and out of Impact lately that make me wonder what is going on there and if things are OK, TBH. It's usually been as simple as just them signing people short term, so they can have a lot of people come in and out. This was honestly bullshit when they did it to Kross, and it's even more bullshit now. Just release them. Shit like this makes people hesitate when considering Impact as an option to work.

This is messed up and it's old habits for the exact same management people who've done this before. I don't even know how you can lock someone down to an exclusive contract where they lose money coming to be at your taping, let alone to lock them down exclusive on a pay per appearance deal. They're trying to rebuild their reputation and you don't rebuild shit doing stuff like this again.

You can take the TNA out of LOL, but you still can't take the LOL out of TNA.
She hasn't been used in any capacity, there obv. aren't any plans for her, she's not even getting paid, there's no point making her sit at home, stop being stupid and let her go.

So basically the same issues Killer Kross and Scarlett had. Glad to know this regime still hasn't changed and loves to skimp on money to f over talent.

Impact has built up a lot of goodwill over the last few years and has gone a great job rotating in and out talent to keep the product fresh. I don't know why they are putting their foot down in this case when it's a paid-by-appearance deal. It is not like she's sitting at home collecting a check, the girl can't work elsewhere. So use her or let her go.

I criticize WWE a lot for refusing to let people quit their jobs because I think that's f***ed up, but at least when WWE does do it, they send people money every week and pay them like they're showing up, so it's at least not outright inhumane. The idea of icing out someone's contract but then also not paying them a dime seems absolutely f***ing ghoulish.

Yeah, like WWE does some major shitty things but at least they pay you a living wage and when it is time for you to go, you still getting 3 months worth of pay The fact you aren't paying them enough in the first place and then freezing them out so they can't even get money is outrageous. It was shitty when they did it to Kross and it is extra shitty now

And then overall had the tone of their response be 'We gave him what he want and he's just being difficult". Just absolute bad faith shitshow clown smear jobs. It feels like there's people in charge of the company who keep trying to get away with really insane stuff until they get yanked back by bad PR and reality, and every few years they peek back out with more garbage to try and get away with again.

And they tried to frame it like he was escalating in money. Like the first two years was 25 and then he get a WHOOPING 50K!!!! in his last year. The nerve to act like well we offered him 6 figured, the f*** you did. Shit like that is garbage. Last I remember their top top people was getting paid 100k or more which is still low but more than doable for the size of Impact. They need to clean shit like this up
