During Tensais debut, Michael Cole says that he’s a former WWE star. Yeah, they never tried to hide that it was Albert. However in the magazine, they implied that Tensai was NOT a former star when they showed a pic of Cena applying the STF to him and the caption read it was the first time they saw Tensai off his feet.

There was a time when Raw was in the UK where WWE had Joe Hendry and Lionheart act as Russians presenting an award to Rusev. Joe Hendry is a local hero... so he is all nationalities >_> Say his name and he appears! I believe in Joe Hendry!

French Canadians Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree as Frenchmen in La Resistance. Then the later version where Sylvain and the American Rob Conway are billed from Montreal

Marc Mero was a white guy in heavy fake tan playing a character based on an african american musician. Chief Jay Strongbow, Italan fake native american. Chavo as Kerwin White. Anthony Carelli played a russian shootfighter in OVW, Boris Alexief, and went on to debute on the main roster as Santono Marella, an Italian fan. He's actually indigenous canadian, part of the Metis of Ontario. Marc Mero is really a white guy? I always thought he is atleast Hispanic or something.

Yes. He's Filipino and white. Zelina Vega is Puerto Rican. The only one I know for a fact that is actually Mexican in that group is El Hijo del Fantasma. No idea about the other guy whose name I can't remember and I don't care enough to Google 🤷♂️ While we're on the subject of Zelina Vega and "Mexican" groups: how about Mexican America in TNA? Featuring one actual Mexican American (Mex-Pac), one Mexican/Puerto Rican (Hernandez), one full Puerto Rican (Zelina, then called Rosita), and one Canadian who is neither Mexican nor American (Sarita). Not to be outdone, WWE would put together their own stable of Mexican stereotypes with one whole Mexican: then unmasked Hunico (aka Sin Cara II), Puerto Rican Epico, and Tongan Camacho (now Tanga Loa in NJPW). Mexican America was next level awful. Especially Anarquia. Is Sarita of Hispanic descent? I know she's Canadian born but she looks like she can be Latina. Also, Camacho the Polynesian Mexican has always been 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cactus Jack did a promo in ECW where he was shitting on WCW. Among the things he mentioned was something like "I saw a Jewish guy from upstate NY become a black man from Georgia."

Has anyone mentioned Santino Marella yet? Do we count talents that are actually of the ethnicity they portray? I know he's Canadian, but with a name like Carelli I assume he's at least of Italian descent. Which to me is far less insulting than some of these other examples.

Tim Horner as Kendo the Samurai in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Knowing the way Cornette feels about Horner it was probably a rib on Horner.

Tim Horner as Kendo the Samurai in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Knowing the way Cornette feels about Horner it was probably a rib on Horner. Cornette said in one of his Horner rants that he had taken Tim off the cards, had him strictly working in the office and paying him a weekly salary. I think Tim was supposed to run a wrestling school, line up sponsors, and handle merchandise. When that didn’t work out to Jim’s liking, he told Tim, “I’m going to put you back on the cards and pay you off the gate. Some weeks may be a little less if we run fewer shows, but some weeks will be more, so it will even out, and you’ll be wrestling again.” Apparently, Jim thought the audience still needed a break from good guy Tim Horner, so he made him a masked heel. Then there was a money dispute at the end of the month because the gate was low and Cornette claims he told Horner he was going to take care of everyone else and for Tim to come see him on Monday and he’d take care of him. This is allegedly when Tim’s wife, while holding their baby, yelled at Jim about how he should pay Tim first. This led to a telephone argument between Cornette and Horner where Tim was fired. At least, that’s Cornette’s side of things.

Low-Ki
I don't know if they outright said he was from anywhere in Asia but his whole presentation as "Senshi" in TNA made it seem like he was Asian. I don't think his Spanish representation was really ever presented until he joined LAX right before he left Impact for like the 5th time

They definitely took liberties pretending he was from Milan, but yeah, Italian, makes sense. He did also play a Russian in developmental, though, so he still counts for that.
