Lawler could probably have an episode. Memphis, his youth enthusiasm, nearly dying on live TV could fill the hour.

And speaking of Lawler, his cousin Honky Tonk Man might work too, considering some of the stuff he said later in his career.

HTM for years and years talked crap on Lawler.
The infamous Kat and one of the Dupp's pic was first posted online at HTM's old forum.
They are cousins. And in all those early 2000s shoots Honky did he complained about how Lawler didnt help him much when Honky was in Memphis as one of teh Blond Bombers.

The producers have said they don't want to cover ongoing stuff since they want to be able to tell a complete story, so I don't see any Punk related episodes anytime soon.

I can imagine Lawler like a decade or so after he dies, not right now. Especially in his condition.

How about an episode on when the NWA lost it's connection to WCW and before they hooked up with TNA.
All kinds of crazy stories from that era.

What if Season 5 kicked off with: CM Punk Vs AEW I’m sure Tony had a good amount of the guys sign NDAs on that

Ok how about an episode on the incident that causes Louisiana to tighten the wrestling comission. Well tighten it on small feds. Big feds can do whatever they wwant. But indies cant fight thru the crowd, cant do piledrivers or any move that causes a blow to the neck and many other restrictions. What happened to bring that about?

Short version Match in Louisiana,Steve Anthony goes to piledrive someone. Dude taking piledriver isn't braced right and breaks his neck. Since then the LA comission is super strict, unless you are WWE or AEW level. No piledrivers. Must have something between front row and hte ring. Which can be something as simple as a piece of string. If you draw more than 400 paying fans you must have a doctor and Ambulance on site. And give a percentage of the gate to the comission. All wrestlers must have blood work done every 6 months. And I am sure there is a pile of other rules. Back close to 8 years ago the former owners of Elite ,which ran Houma LA,challenged the comission. Just asking for the same treatment that WWE,IMPACT and other bigger feds got. And the comission stripped the ELite promoter of their promoting license. And since then when Elite has tried to run a show in LA under another promoter the Comission is quick to shut it down. The only thing that might prevvent this from being an episode is I dont know if Steve Anthony would be willing to talk about the incident.

For all the press/whatever about how Louisiana is this wild almost lawless state it has strict laws. Sure some are not that enforced down in New Orleans. But that is just one city in a big state.

There has to be an episode about Chyna's Rise & Fall
Test being looked at being the next big thing, having his career go downhill and his death.

Japanese Wrestling & The Yakuza Nobody that lives or works in Japan would go on record though, so that would stop that episode. Remember Tajiri was terrified about his gimmick in WWE being tied to Yakuza and wanted to WWE to drop it.

I just thought that it would be a very interesting idea for an episode but yeah in actuality that would never happen

Getting stuff like Jericho's flower pot story, Sabu barricading himself in a room so the Yakuza members he pissed off wouldn't get to him, are one thing. But getting people to go on the record about how deep the Yakuza are in the pro wrestling scene would be impossible. It would be a great 2 parter, because let's face it you couldn't do it all in one episode, but ain't gonna happen.
