I just found out that WCW’s Roadblock had a finishing move. I had no idea he’d ever won. I used to watch all the shows as a kid. I’m blown away. Anyway, who are some wrestlers with very rarely seen finishing moves and what are they? Here’s Road Block’s “Dead End”

Crash Holly in his later days in WWE used the Styles Clash as his finisher calling the Crash Landing.

The Red Rooster used a sharpshooter before Bret Hart. He also used a flying hammerlock similar to George Steeles own obscure finishing move.
Brooklyn Brawler went through a couple during his brief push in the late 80s. He used a superplex and he also would jump off the second and smash his opponents face into the mat and called it the Sidewalk Smash.

LMAO It's awful; it doesn't look good, it's got an awkward setup, it's poorly executed, it just screams someone who's clearly trying to be different badly rather than trying to do a simple thing competently.

I was gonna post that it would be a cool move if the guy doing it wasn't an uncoordinated mess. BUT NOW I WON'T! [runs away]

Did Roadblock win a match? I'm guessing that's WorldWide.

It fails in logic as well. You have to place your opponent near the ropes meaning you either have to waste time moving him before a pin or risk him reaching a rope break.

I want a jobber to be in position to win but can't remember his finisher because he's never gotten to use it before.

I can't look away from that finisher, oh my god that is masterfully bad.

Yeah, that clip of the Dead End looks really bad.
Funny thing is, the first time I ever saw that move was from Cecil Nyx doing it in C*4. He even calls it the "Ode to Roadblock". Not only does he do it significantly cleaner than Roadblock, but it's a mid-match move for him rather than a finish, so it comes across better overall.

Brooklyn Brawler also used a neckbreaker as a finish. I recall some early-90s pre-show segment where they did some interview at ringside while Brawler was beating someone with it on the background. Reno Riggins had a Reno(super)plex, but IIRC he was never actually able to pull it off.

The few times Jim Neidhart put anybody away in his singles run, he used a JYD Thump-like powerslam.

I want a jobber to be in position to win but can't remember his finisher because he's never gotten to use it before. Or has a finisher that he boasts about (maybe has a entrance jacket that says "King of the Fisherman Suplex" on the back or something) and then when he gets his chance, just can't apply it because he can't figure out how to do it due to lack of reps.

Great, now this topic got me to look up Roadblock to see if he won any other matches. And I managed to find one, where he finishes the opponent with a falling powerslam that looks way more effective than whatever the hell that thing up top is supposed to be: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUZRFVY89KA

Not sure if this counts, but considering he barely won during his WWF career, Koko B. Ware used the Brainbuster as his finisher which was called either the Ghostbuster or the Birdbuster depending on what promotion he was in. Koko's brainbuster looked like absolute death. He also used the flying dropkick off the top that usually looked awesome.

WWF era Koko is still good but he took it down a step. Don't blame him making big money and working more often with more traveling. He did it smart.

Him in (or at least close to) his prime would have killed it in mid/late 90's WCW/WWF
