Dude had a such a weird charisma. He wasn’t very good in the ring but he had a presence that couldn’t be denied. Watching him, who is supposed to be the heel, fist bumping everyone in MSG like a conquering hero is epic lol Sycho theme is one of the GOATs, too Is he also making explosion sounds with each fist bump?

Like warrior, Sid never outstayed his welcome anywhere. He'd come in, white hot, do Sid stuff for a while then get fired but there was always somewhere else willing to take him, and he'd be welcomed back where he was fired from once the heat died down.
Guy had the it factor that made fans love him, and he had the fortune to go against disliked faces, Hulk embroiled in steroid scandals and edgeless boyhood dream Shawn so whatever he did was getting a pop.

Sid is awesome. we make fun of the "GOLDBEEEERG!" and "WHYYYY MMEEEEEE?" stuff but I gotta respect the dude for willing to play the putz in those segments.

Sid also worked surprisingly well as the Break Glass for Emergency main event face in WCW 2000. He was a fun champ in early 2000, and then at Starrcade, he basically lets Scott Steiner squash him for ten minutes. (That match is...Steiner beats the shit out of Sid, Sid has a few comebacks, then Steiner survives outside interference and chokes Sid into unconsciousness, I was stunned at the time.)
Then f***ing Johnny Ace made him do that top rope big boot.

One of the few guys to ever make the “I’m talking normally NOW IM SHOUTING now I finish in a whisper” type of promo work.

Skyscraper Sid was the best. Could have been better as a Horseman, like their bodyguard, but goofy stuff happened to him then....losing to Lex in 10 seconds, the fake Sting, El Gigante....

What if he somehow came to WWE in 2003, where would he be? He would be given a program with Hunter who was the WCW killer. He would be given a written promo he would get wrong. They would main event a PPV with him against Hunter once anyway and the match would be terrible. He would end up being booked in a comedy tag team with a mid carder and stop showing up to work. Outside of getting the promo wrong, I could see that basically going down the same way. Maybe a run similar to Steiner or Nash...around for a few months before disappearing again. In a perfect world he'd end up on Smackdown against Brock, Angle, Benoit and Eddie.

I love Sid, and not in the ironic way. He’s just a big f_cking lumbering brute who looks like a psychopath (no pun intended). Amazing physique, he just seethes with intensity. Sure, he had some silly moments on the mic that are head scratchers but if that man wanted to make the WWF/WCW his kingdoms he could’ve if he would’ve taken it that seriously. A 100% dedicated to wrestling Sid doing a Japan tour would’ve been phenomenal. Sid in Japan would have been f***ing amazing. He is one of those wrestlers that just had 'it'. That natural presence and charisma that shines, despite any in ring shortcomings. Having said that, I think Sid could have a good match with most opponents, and a great match with the right ones. I do wonder if Sid would have come back over to the fed during the invasion, if he hadn't had that terrible injury. I think he'd have been getting some of the biggest pops during that storyline.

Depends, are we talking about the real timeline where say Sid doesn't get hurt and returns in 2003 or "Sid is born 10 years later" timeline? Because if its the real one, he'd take a PPV loss to Triple H, for sure. But if its an alternate timeline, sadly I see him falling to the wayside getting lost in the shuffle on Smackdown with Brock Lesnar, A-Train, Big Show, Matt Morgan, John Heidenreich, and other hosses of that time while the IWC craps on his work rate worse than they did in 1993.

Warrior is a good comparison. I remember in a shoot interview, they asked Scott Hall about the Ultimate Warrior and he said "All I know is that when he ran through the curtain, the fans always cheered, and you can't learn that." Sid is in that same category.

In a perfect world he'd end up on Smackdown against Brock, Angle, Benoit and Eddie. Brock and Kurt would go for his leg. And both would probably break lower card wrestlers' legs to mock Sid like Steiner did. Either Brock or Kurt would cut a promo on Sid on how he gets no sympy from either of them.

Sid is wonderful in the sense that we just wanna see him win. I always ejected my Halloween Havoc VHS tape immediately after Sid is announced as the new world champion and he is holding the big gold. As for the shenanigans afterwards with Barry Windham cosplaying the bogus Sting, I give it no credence whatsoever. I never wanted to see it again. Sid went over, in my book.
I wonder if Sid was a great charge, just doing everything his managers told him to do. That’s probably how the leg break happened; he just listened to ideas. He was just winging it out there.

while the IWC craps on his work rate worse than they did in 1993. I doubt it. The moment he stepped into ECW, aka Smark City, he was the most over person on the planet. SID had "It" and would be over anywhere, any era.

By the way I heard he has a son also wrestling and using his old gimmick of Lord Humongous.
But like Scott Hall's son Cody, he's only on the indies. Should any of the North American companies right now like AEW, WWE or TNA sign him?

Sid, to me, is like everything that worked about Ultimate Warrior, only better.

Should any of the North American companies right now like AEW, WWE or TNA sign him? His other son was on two seasons of Big Brother. A rumor is that one of the producers was a friend of Sid from his wrestling days and tried to keep Frank on the show as long as possible.

2012 Sid sill looked like a threat too.
Sid vs. Punk in 2011 would've been so much better than Nash.

Hell, Sid is nearly an OAP these days, and has had heart issues so should be nowhere near a ring (but FFS get him in the HOF while he's still with us), but if old man Sid came out at WrestleMania to end the Bloodline I'd totally buy it, because it's Sid.
