I'm getting real tired of the multi millionaire who got a private jet so he could fly back and see his kids more telling other people they don't have their work life balance priorities in order.
I don't even like Ospreay for a lot of reasons and I'm saying he was directly in the right to call out this shithead.

Honestly the Triple H line was more annoying than the Punk stuff. Punk is Punk. But when Triple H said that line, it came across as so damn petty and unneeded. Especially since Ospreay had been nothing but respectful to WWE in all of this as well. Also dude two of your best friends were Nash and Hall, and your top guy is Roman Reigns. Shut up about the “grind” nonsense. I really do think some of it comes from the complete butthurt that they can no longer just throw out any low ass take or or leave it number knowing it'll be taken because there are no other options. When AEW is willing to offer more money that is going to create an issue in contract negotiations. Triple H isn't setting the budget so of course to him he's mad when dude takes the bag. Shit the WWE still to this day thinks that if you haven't worked for them you don't work in the big leagues and that somehow a WM moment should be a selling point to a contract. But as I said earlier the way TKO has done business in the past people should be aware of that. If their history is anything to go on, there will be wrestlers in WWE that get offered the exact same contract to stay or a very minimal raise at best. They'll pick their 4-7 guys they think they have to have and everyone else will be "replaceable" because that's their UFC model. Everytime I see that Drew still hasn't signed a new deal that's what my mind goes to.

I agree he was right to fight back but the dig about Stephanie was disappointing. It'd be nice if men could argue without dragging women into it.

I’m not gonna quote the whole post but above someone implied Meltzer said you can’t diss HHH. I just watched a video where he says “Will absolutely is allowed to fire back because if you don’t you’re a punching bag. Just probably should’ve read the room this week.” That was me and my question to Dave would be “if not now then when?” Why wait 2 weeks (let say) to fire back (after he presumably beats AmDrag in a match Dave will give 6 stars to unless the two of them truly fumble the bag)? So he can open the bad faith can of worms all over again? If ANYTHING Dave’s ‘read the room’ comment should be directed at Tony, cause yeah…he has probably should have slotted it in a different spot on the show

Was it a dated joke? Yes. Was it deserved? Also yes. It is always morally correct. How many times must it be said? There is no blow that is too low when you're punching up.

I actually think the the most interesting thing to come out of all of this is that Wade Keller is a full of shit jackass as he was saying TK made Ospreay cut this promo and Will was against it.
Wade Keller making shit up since 1990.

They keep proving Punk's point on wasting TV time on petty stuff.
Triple H made comments on an ESPN sanctioned sports cast show, not on his main WWE TV programming.
Ospreay et al maybe best responding in a similar format show, not their TV tapings that draw 3k fans.

Meltzer also points out that there was a very personal reason for why Ospreay would be so upset with Hunter as well.
His GF Alex Windsor lost her husband (to suicide sadly) a few years ago and she wants to stay in the UK where she had family support. And Will promised her he’d do everything possible to make that work.
And WWE apparently knew this damn well when he was talking to him. So I can imagine that Triple H dig feeling extra scummy there as well.

EDIT: Also, Renee (and Tony Schiavone, for that matter) look that way of every time a heel does something dastardly, the narrative that this was the first time they’re doing it from some people just means they don’t pay attention to the product. You are probably right here.... but I will say, based on Tony's opinions expressed on his podcasts over the years (and recently) and interviews I've heard with him, I'm willing to bet he was truly not thrilled with that backstage tape being played. Of course, he'll play along because he's a "company guy" (and I mean that in a positive light), but I don't think he was a fan of it.

Just pointing out he didn’t say HHH is an untouchable god or whatever.

I don't blame Ospreay for clapping back... but I wish it would've been more creative.

So, uh, while the "you married into power" thing is, indeed, dated, I'm pretty sure he said it because the specific criticism leveled at him was that he wasn't willing to "grind" for what he was going to get. The whole point is "don't you dare lecture me or shit talk me in public about my work ethic when you're in the position you are because of who you married", not "lololol you married the boss's daughter" like we're back in the Reign of Terror era chatrooms.
EDIT: I don't think WWE's going to start undercutting a lot of people's pay just because of their new ownership; last I heard on that, they're actually looking to up a lot people's pay.
Still, their long term strategy may just end up being "keep the Performance Center churning, pay those guys less, get similar results", so guess we'll see over time.

“Pretty sick burn”- The year 2005. By then it was getting stale. They've been married for 20 years, and have 3 daughters. It's long passed time to talk shit on their relationship. It also ignores that Hunter was already established as a main eventer before hooking up with Stephanie. It's also insulting to Stephanie to equate her to being some piece of meat that Hunter used to further himself. Like, by all means go after Hunter. But leave his wife out of it. Make a "Kliq's bag boy joke" or something

It's not like dude spent 5 minutes tearing into HHH and then left. Just as with the Bucks, it was about the footage yes, but they also took the time to use it as a scapegoat as to why they lost against FTR at Wembley and to stir up "sympathy" for Perry, foreshadowing him becoming part of The Elite.
