We all like to talk about guys being buried when they go on a losing streak or are slightly depushed or heck, even take a clean pin. But this thread is for nominating incidents where people well and truly, spectacularly BURIED, nay INTERRED; incidents where somebody had their credibility undermined so completely that it was simply all downhill after that; moments when, while it would have been possible to rehabilitate someone's push, it was abundantly obvious that they did NOT figure prominently into the company's plans for the future.
To get things rolling...
-Shannon Moore getting slapped by CM Punk. They might as well have castrated him on live TV.
-The entire cruiserweight division when Hornswaggle won the belt.

Virtually anything Jamie Noble has done since Hornswoggle winning the CW belt. I don't think so. He's been on TV like every week.

Jericho, the UNDISPUTED CHAMPION, being Stephanie McMahon's personal servant and picking up dogcrap while Hunter stole the limelight.
Jericho's ENTIRE reign as Undisputed Champion was merely a backdrop and a footnote to the Hunter/Steph feud.
Horrible.

Do a search for a recent interview here where Y2J admited that the whole storyline was his idea. Edit: Here it is: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=1193333412

-Shannon Moore getting slapped by CM Punk. They might as well have castrated him on live TV. That was awesome, and sadly still the best thing Punk has done in WWE.

Virtually anything Jamie Noble has done since Hornswoggle winning the CW belt. I don't think so. He's been on TV like every week. If that was the case then Hulk Hogan appearing once a year on TV would be a major burial. Would you like to appear every week looking like a bitch or would you appear once a Summerslam and look like a big man? Just my 2 cents.

I don't think Jamie Noble is buried at the moment. I'm really entertained by seeing him getting soundly beaten every week. He's just this unlucky guy whose schemes backfire every single time and who just can't get one single break. In his match against Taker, he knew he was doomed but still tried his best. Good fun had by all involved. He still is more credible than Moore, Yang or Funaki. Don't forget he is in a promo every single week. If that happens to you in WWE, there is no way you are buried.

Mike Knox getting superkicked and eliminated 3 seconds into the match at Survivor Series. As if that was bad enough, you've got Michaels and HHH in there exchanging confused looks and saying "Who was that guy?" "Was he even in the match?"
-------------------------
Spirit Squad losing about a billion 5 vs. 2 encounters in a row vs. DX, then getting shipped off TV in a box labelled "OVW".
-------------------------
Bart Gunn getting totally annihalated by Butterbean in like 4 seconds during that Brawl For All at Wrestlemania.

Bart Gunn getting totally annihalated by Butterbean in like 4 seconds during that Brawl For All at Wrestlemania. I wouldn't call that one a "burial", I'd call it "reality". You don't mess around with Butterbean!

Pretty much the entire Raw roster during the time 2006 DX was there.
