So, I'm not sure why they're testing NOW when they weren't before, but I'd wager it's not because "the Cerebral Assassin" created a more accurate test in the last twelve days. Note that nowhere is it stated that WWE's testing found the case. Very likely, whoever it was took the test outside of WWE and reported the findings back to them.

It still sickens me the way WWF used him, mostly as a job guy. I will never understand that. I remember seeing him on WWF TV and was instantly excited, until he lost to almost everybody. Dude was 50 years old at that point. He did the right thing, being the "big name" to lose and put over the next generation of talent.

Yep Louie had a real bad drug issue that supposedly even worried some wrestlers who were known for popping pills. Louie was seen as an honorary Kliq member when he was in WWF and did a good job of becoming a fairly hot act with his ECW run. Hall and Nash went to bat to get him in WCW and were doing their best to protect him as a performer. He was supposed to fight Larry Zybysko at SuperBrawl... Hall has also said that they were pushing for Louie to beat DDP for the US title I remember the Larry thing because when Spicolli died, Larry made some kind of snotty comment like, "If you have nothing nice to say, then you shouldn't say anything at all. So no comment." That said, they were feuding and Larry was obviously very old school, so I wouldn't expect some kind of warm tribute. Still, probably should have just not even said that much, since it's basically him insulting a dead guy right after he's dead on live TV. At the time, I took it as Larry not figuring out how to break kayfabe, as he'd been dedicated to it to a fault. This...this makes a lot of sense. Larry was likely not thrilled to know there was a middleman pusher in the locker room. He was from the Bruno "clean as a whistle" club in terms of drugs, as far as I know.

I have to wonder how much Spicolli contributed to the escalation of Candido and Sytch's drug issues while he was paired with them. Not blaming him for them, but it certainly could not have helped.

I think the biggest problem in the situation is that, as we've discussed in other threads, Meltzer doesn't really have that part of thinking that makes him realize his cute inside joke doesn't equate outside of it very well. That said, I'm not going to hold him over the fire for "Anabolic Warrior" - Hellwig didn't deserve the empathy of being outraged over that one. Yeah Meltzer could be a bit too snippy with some of his nicknames. Anabolic Warrior of course, and I think he coined Flabulous Moolah too (YMMV considering what we know or think we know about both, but...) Did he coin "Big Slow" or was that just some fan "nickname" that took on a life of its own (Rock used it on an episode of RAW, but I had heard the name used on RSPW and other sites prior to that)? That would have been long after Meltzer gave up the nickname thing.

My question regarding those who spoke up about it getting released - are those really the guys you want "free" to be out there talking about it now?
On that note, has anyone ever point-blank asked any of the guys that were there if they had to sign any NDAs after returning home?

He got a couple of tryout matches in 2004: 2004/11/22 @ HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York (United States of America) Viscera defeated A-1 (1:56 minutes) 2004/11/23 @ Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York (United States of America) Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak defeated Robbie McAllister and A-1 (2:17 minutes) I can't believe Highlander Robbie is the one that got hired out of that team and A-1 didn't. A-1 was the epitome of a John Lauranitis guy when he was head of talent relations. High on steroids, low on wrestling skill. In fairness, it was a match against Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak. Johnny Ace probably meant to hire him and accidentally just offered one of those two a new contract by mistake.

A-1 was a massive roid monster from mid 2000's TNA. He was part of the Team Canada stable but unlike his stable mates he couldn't wrestle worth a damn. He looked like someone WWE would have signed around that time. The Impact Zone faithful would relentlessly chant "you do steroids" and "you can't wrestle" at him. I remember on an episode of Impact, Team Canada leader Scott D'Amore couldn't get through his promo because of those chants. D'amore finally lost it and screamed back at the crowd "YEAH, WELL, HE CAN STILL KICK ALL OF YOUR ASSES!!!" I seriously LOL'D I have no idea what happened to A-1 after probably 2005. Ok so help me out with another thing. Is it true everyone that was involved with complaining publicly about this event was let go in this last mass release? Anyone got a list handy? I know Rusev and Karl Anderson posted about it, Luke Harper at least posted a really unhappy pic of himself during it all. I don't recall who else said anything.

The plane delay was true and over Vince fighting with the audis If I ever gave Vince McMahon another dime of my own money, it would be to watch him fight an Audi.
