I think the Simpsons is another victim of the "Every thing is better in retrospect thing"
It happens with everything
"TV was better in the 90's"
"Music was better in the 80's"
"Wrestling was awesome in the 90's, now it sucks"
"Football was awesome in the 90's, now it's not as tough"
Etc etc etc.

Oh man TNA has done so much that I've liked but I'll go with what I've liked in the last 3 and a half years since people focus on that being a down period of TNA
1) I love what they've done with Hulk. They haven't focused on him being an in ring competitor and have never really tried to push that. He's had a few matches but generally they've used him exactly the way he should be. A legendary authority figure
2. I like that once someone reaches main event status in TNA they never really seem to drop that far back down the card. For example if you look at WWE they have Jack Swagger who won the World Title, he lost it and then dropped down into the Midcard. This hasn't happened for any former TNA Champions except the lazy RVD
3. The rise of guys like Sabin, Roode, Aries, AJ, Daniels, Joe etc has made for amazing TV and some great moments and matches and made stars out of guys who may not have had the opportunity in WWE
4. Dixie seems to legitimately care about the fans and anyone who supports TNA. She's great to be on top of TNA
5. I'm excited for TNA's current European expansion and future expansion

Watching TNA Victory Road 2008 and the opening match is a World X Cup match between Team Japan, Team Mexico, Team International and Team TNA. A lot of really great wrestlers came through the World X Cup but TNA has done away with it.
Does anyone know why? We could of seen some really great stuff with the NJPW deal back in 2010 or so.
Hopefully they bring it back now that TNA has deals with AAA and seemingly Wrestle-1 Japan.

I'll wait for the trailers and previews but the last Vince Russo shoot that Kayfabe Commentaries did (The live one) it was really really boring and Russo refused to bad mouth anyone or really speak out about anything.
Now this, if it looks good may be a pick up for me based on the fact I love WCW 2000 but Vince Russo has been pretty boring in his prior shoot appearances.

I think everyone is looking far to much into this. The site is CLEARLY meant for people going to the wedding for friends and family who may not make it. No where on that site states anything about fans to buy them stuff. Yes there is a registry for stuff but there is also a place to book your hotel room. The site itself tells there story on how they got together. It no where says from them "HEY FANS buy us stuff." It a wedding people no matter how much money you have it's only natural to give the newlyweds a gift. Just like when someone is having a baby. Everyone is jumping all over them for something they clearly did not read about. If it was for fans to buy them stuff why would the links to book a hotel be there? If it wasn't for the fans why would there be a website? Usually an E-Mail with links to a wish list on a site is what most couples do.

Maybe you can ask him on Twitter to explain his answer? I don't have Twitter but if he has openly said they promised him a job for life on Twitter I'll retract my statement. Blankly sitting there as someone mentions it and quickly transitions into another question doesn't confirm it though.

I feel bad for whoever paid 500 bucks for it. It's most likely fake and the jacket itself isn't worth 500.

Hulk is on for a segment or two a week these days. Granted he usually gets some promo time it's not really the "Hulk Hogan show" like people on here imply. If they were trying to bait and switch the fans why not use a recent picture? Because they'd get sued(since all current pics would be from wwe). Unless they somehow trick punk into taking a photo. Probably by having Dixie pretend to be a regular fan and says if she can take a picture with punk. I'd like to see that. I'm sure CM Punk has taken at least 1 usable photo away from WWE in the last 8 years.

He doesn't deny nor confirm the claim that he was promised a job for life to be honest. The "host" says it and goes into a question very quickly so Sorensen doesn't have a chance to confirm or deny.

She chose to keep working indies. As a pro she knew the risks and rolled the dice. KO's not named Velvet, Christy or Gale weren't paid squat. But Mickie was also new and hadn't proved out so money was not going to be that good. It would be steady and that is a damn sight better than most Indy workers. She got hurt. That sucks. But she also could have worked her ass off to get back and maybe gotten a shot in ROH or TNA again later. I never saw much in her. Same with Rosie. Good hand in the ring in Micie's case, but she had no dynamic. Rosie was awful between the ropes but legit had a gimmick that might have gotten over. She was over the top and in wrestling you have to have that. Christopher Danials is a great worker but languished for yrs because he had no color. The last two yrs he found something and kept adding to it and now he getting attention he never got. Ultimate warrior had the larger than life persona but was the drizzling shits in the ring. Yet he will likely go into the HOF sometime the next few yrs. HBK, HHH, Flair, Austin, Rock, Hart, Piper all had both in ring talent and charisma. The IT factor. Mickie lacked for the one while in TNA so they likely said "ok get better and develop something and we will look at you again" You took a thread on Mickie Knuckles and turned into a rant against the indies...why? ICBM is right though.

People will donate for the simple fact Reby Sky is hot. It's the same reason someone like Daffney can get thousands and thousands of dollars for her injuries but someone like Zema Ion cannot. It's taking advantage of the fans but a lot of indy women's wrestlers do it these days and get tons of stuff from white knight wrestling fans. I agree, though I really don't like that term. It's become a catch-all to deride people for choosing to support someone or something that they really like. If they're big fans, so what? I personally think it's past being a big fan. Being a big fan is going to the show to see someone, buying some merchandise maybe purchasing a photo and an autograph and following their career. What a lot of fans seem to want to do is know these performers on a personal level and I've never quite understood it. It's also very very suspicious that these "big fans" generally only want personal interaction with hot female wrestling personalities and don't really care very much about the male wrestlers they're big fans of.

SOR........they are only minor gripes because the stable war takes up so much of the show along with another problem: Hulk Hogan hogging so much of the show with his daughter. And Taz is not a minor gripe since you have to listen to him for the whole show. Hulk is on for a segment or two a week these days. Granted he usually gets some promo time it's not really the "Hulk Hogan show" like people on here imply. That makes sense- but the thing that made the Punk situation worse wasn't TNA doing this. They were right to shill it to make some money. The issue was HOW TNA advertised it going to TNA on-demand: there's a world of difference between the two- advertising you have old CM Punk matches in your archive is acceptable (and WWE's done it in the past- witness a month or so ago when they advertised names like Samoa Joe as "having competed in WWE" through jobber matches). By contrast, TNA designed these advertisements SPECIFICALLY to make fans believe "CM Punk just signed with TNA"- which is a bush-league, Dale Gagne-level bait and switch. If they were trying to bait and switch the fans why not use a recent picture?

What do you do with Tenay and Taz though? They're not known to have any backstage roles that they can go and do. Release em. If they both suck at the one job they do let em go. Maybe make Taz an agent, move Tenay to backstage interview guy. It's going to cost TNA quite a lot of money to just release these guys though. Especially since Taz just signed a new deal a month or so ago.

It was a way easier impact to listen to with tazz and jb on commentary. You know since jb doesn't yell throughout an entire match Tenay is a shitty pbp who cannot shill and ruins every segment by talking over it and narrating Tenay sucks. Bring in striker and he and jb can call it What do you do with Tenay and Taz though? They're not known to have any backstage roles that they can go and do.

Didn't they call her Moose Knuckles whilst she was in TNA? Great show of maturity. She was known just as Moose.

Still doesn't answer the question guys, apart from Aces and Eights Vs Main Event Mafia stable feud what's so bad about TNA's booking? Not to poopoo on Seth, but I think there are worse ones. 1. Sabin's title win was... horrible. Had the match been competitive it would have been better. I would have turned it into Bully labeling Sabin as a marked man. 2. Jay Bradley being in BFG, and doing nothing. I would prefer the BFG to be tighter, to have upsets. It is a great event to elevate people. USE IT. Make it a point there are no jobbers in the BFG Series 3. The TV title. 4. I agree Joseph Park needs to have an end point, that's really it. A story needs a climax. I could add the Tag Division, but they don't have enough teams to make a division so I can't fault their booking. And those are just things that could have been handled better, or fixed from here on out. Edit: I could argue more pluses then minuses, and especially when it comes to in ring action. So I would generally rate TNA's TV product in the positive categories. Just like Seth though, your gripes are relatively minor. 1. Sabin Title win is pretty major but you're focusing on the match. His reign itself hasn't been that bad he's been an okay enough champion not ground breaking but he isn't embarrassing the company. I wouldn't call it horrible booking 2. Jay Bradley is a nothing angle and just a jobber. Not a huge deal but I'd agree that it's a waste of TV time but again he's never on for long. 3. Kind of agree that it should still be around but it hasn't been booked poorly. It's just been on a guy that's never around 4. It's stalling right now but it'll have a good finish I'm sure.

Thought I'd ask this question because a couple of the guys who went to NWA Legends Fanfest were discussing Virgil and how they had to ignore him because he's going to try and hustle them if they talk to him.
For a guy who was in some type of big time wrestling position from 1987-2000 I think Virgil had a pretty decent career. He was involved with the legendary DiBiase early on. Had a nice babyface run in the early to mid 90's and left WWF for WCW in 98 he joined the nWo and was around them until 1999 and eventually they used him differently from 99-00 and he was released from his contract.
From wrestling in front of 63,000 people at Wrestlemania 8 to now doing the Convention circuit. Now the Convention circuit isn't that bad I mean I'm sure it's a decent little pay day for a lot of guys and a good way to catch up but for Virgil it's a full time job. That's the sad thing.
I figure if Virgil just saved even 10,000 dollars a year from 1987 until 2000 and put it in a term deposit account the guy could be living in a nice town in a beautiful home maybe running a wrestling school or something and never have to work a full time job again. Instead he's seemingly blew hundreds of thousands of dollars and is now stuck on the Convention circuit.
The main issue with the V-Man though is he tries to con people into his signatures. To my knowledge no other wrestler even attempts this except Virgil.
For those unaware of how Virgil attempts to con people at Conventions here's a video where some Radio guys discuss it:
(Possible language warning)
So, Is Virgil the saddest wrestler going around today?

Still doesn't answer the question guys, apart from Aces and Eights Vs Main Event Mafia stable feud what's so bad about TNA's booking? * Velvet Sky still being the focus of the Knockouts Division * Personally, I feel the Joseph Park angle has more than worn out is weapon. * Basically everything they did with Jeff Hardy (custom belt and the inner monologue crap) So your main gripes are a woman being pushed in a division that gets 10 minutes of air time a week, A Midcard angle that gets even less time then the Knockouts and a dislike of what someone did with a title belt aesthetics wise? Sounds like TNA's doing a pretty good job if those are your major gripes.
