Wrestling has a racist past no doubt, but it's not just black wresters that get stereotype gimmicks. Look at all the white guys who became cowboys, native americans who became Chief, Wahoo, or some other stereotype, germans who were portrayed as nazi's, Russians portrayed as communists, French who ended up like Rene Dupree and Grenier, Mexicans who had to wear sombreros or drive lowriders. It's a stereotype business that plays them up as much as possible. It's gotten better but it's still not great.
I think one of the reasons that wrestling has always "gotten away" with racist moments is because it's never really been focused on one group, they're like the comedian who makes fun of every group. Wrestling always plays up stereotypes because they sell tickets.

I've never watched Total Divas but I'd buy the entire DVD collection if Brock Lesnar and Sable appeared on the show. I can imagine Sable heading around bars seducing young men, and leading them back to Lesnar's ranch for him to hunt for sport. Which all leads into the premier of Criminal Minds.

Daniel Bryan by William Regal and vice versa
Batista by HHH
HHH by HBK (and potentially the rest of the kliq)
Undertaker by Kane and hopefully vice versa but depends if Taker is retired
Big Show by Hogan or if he's still on the outs then by Kane
Jericho by Zack Ryder (he did write a foreword to one of Jericho's books)
Rock by Roman Reigns or Steve Austin

Early on there were a bunch. The original Wrestlemania needed Hogan/Piper more than either guy needed the WWF. If all that talent was in the NWA it would've killed the WWF, or at least severely slowed them down in their ascent to the top. I'd argue it wasn't until the Cena era or more specifically when WCW went out of business that the Wrestlemania name sold the show more than the people on it.

It's wrestling, he's playing a character. He doesn't have to love TNA, just like Nikolai Volkoff played a soviet for years but actually hated communism and risked his life to get to the US. I also assume Fritz Von Erich wasn't an actual Nazi, Muhammad Hassan wasn't a terrorist, and Undertaker isn't actually a zombie. He's just playing a character and trying to get a reaction. You're comparing Communism, Nazi's and Terrorism to TNA Wrestling.
... Carry on.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't have to actually believe in what you're doing for it to be a perfectly acceptable storyline. Who cares if AJ hates TNA as long as it works from a storyline perspective? Although on that point, I don't think it would be a great storyline, so it's a moot point regardless.

No AJ hates TNA and they mistreated the F*** out of him, same for everyone else that's out of the company That's like defending a dude who stabbed you multiple times. On top of the fact TNA is about straight nothing at this point, there is nothing to defend. It's wrestling, he's playing a character. He doesn't have to love TNA, just like Nikolai Volkoff played a soviet for years but actually hated communism and risked his life to get to the US. I assume that Jericho beating AJ last night was because he's going to be the first guy to feud with Roman. It would make sense because presumably Jericho won't be around much longer as I would guess Fozzy will start touring again, may as well get the feud in now and let him go away over the summer.

Hogan is number one. He was on top of the wrestling world pretty consistently from 1984-1998. As both a heel and a face, in two different companies, he was the most over guy in the world. Wrestlemania was built on the back of Hulk Hogan.
Austin is definitely number two. He had the highest peak, drew tons of money, sold lots of merchandise, and basically was the man. I'd put Rock 3rd and then it gets interesting. I know Cena will get some love for the 4th spot, but I think the spot belongs to Bret Hart. Business was down in the US but Bret was a HUGE draw overseas, especially in Europe.
After Bret, I'd probably go with Cena, Bruno, Piper, Andre, Savage, and HBK in some order.

Butts never would've been put in seats.
In all seriousness though, he did more to put over Austin, Rock, and HHH then anyone else could have.

Honestly...if Roman wins the title from HHH and then the rehash WM9 with Hogan coming down and immediately beating Reigns for it I think the pop would blow the roof off. Regardless of what he does, short of a Benoit style incident, the people will always pop for Hogan. Combine that with Reigns hate right now and it would be awesome. Not the best idea but I still think it would get much more acceptance than Reigns.

Since I feel like the talent is actually pretty solid right now and just isn't be used correctly, I'd get Vince McMahon from 1985, when his finger really was on the pulse of what people wanted. That Vince was willing to change and do the right thing with his product.
Other than that I'd probably get Ted Turner from 1985, when he still had the vision and power to make a separate wrestling company.
For talent I think that taking JR (1998) for the announce table would be a huge plus. For an actual in ring talent I'd take 1994 Bret Hart, he'd have some incredible matches in this era.

Works...works... *specifically calls out Boston/Providence as never getting Wrestlemania* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Being a Mainer myself this is disappointing but I don't blame him. It can be cold as hell in Boston in late March/early April, especially later at night. Mittens could really muffle the applause. Not to mention how cold the guys would be working with such little clothing.

Let's go full on unlikely hypothetical. HHH and Steph split up for whatever reason and HHH decides to start his own wrestling company. Needing a financial backer he finds the one man who has defeated Vince and Ted Turner is back in the wrestling game. Turner and HHH combine together to form a legitimate second company that can rise up and challenge the WWE. All those people in NXT and friends of HHH leave Vince and go over to the new company and the wars are back on.
That's the hypothetical I'm going to choose to believe.
